A new group of single men are looking for love with a big city girl on Season 3 of Farmer Wants a Wife. The Fox dating competition will see four new farmers on the lookout for a woman to become their life partner.
With a new host, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the reality TV show takes women out of their city-living comfort zones to try their hand at life on the farm, which could also see them getting a husband.
- The show first aired in the UK in 2001 and over 30 countries have their own version of the reality show.
- The US version of Farmer Wants a Wife premiered in the Spring of 2008 on The CW and was canceled after just one season.
- Fox brought the show back in March 2023, to great success.
Jennifer Nettles told Parade ahead of Season 2 of the show why it’s so different from other dating shows on TV. “I feel like they are over-dramatized for people who want 15 seconds of fame to become Instagram influencers, which is fun, but it definitely is escapism. This show is not escapism. This show is relatable because it’s authentic.”
Farmer Wants a Wife premieres on Thursday, Mar. 20, 2025, at 9 pm ET.
Who Are The Four New Farmers Looking For Love?
The third season of Farmers Wants A Wife follows a new group of singletons looking for romance. These farmers will host women who are looking to get away from the stress of the big city and into their country-styled homes.
Fox promises that the third season will “dive deeper into the beauty and trials of homegrown love, and new twists will put relationships to the ultimate test.”
The reality show will see the farmers traveling to Alabama for speed dating, Tennessee for a country-themed ball, and Texas for the ultimate camping mixer. The series will also follow the women as they immerse themselves in the realities of life on the farm and see which of them has the patience required to be a farmer’s wife.

A New Host Is Joining ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’
The first two seasons of Farmer Wants A Wife were hosted by Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles. However, Kimberly Williams-Paisley will step into the hosting duties for Season 3 of the reality show.
“I enjoyed being myself in this show, which was a new experience for me with my first unscripted series,” the Nashville actress, who is married to singer Brad Paisley, told PEOPLE.
Because I’m a city girl who embraced the country life when I married my husband 21 years ago, I related to the allure of a farmer for these ladies. I really appreciate how dedicated this show and its producers are in helping these hopeful farmers and women find love.
Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn told Variety, “Given her wonderful presence as a talent and person, not to mention her unique love story, Kimberly is a perfect fit for this role and our network.”
