As Katie Holmes’ longtime stylist, Brie Welsh is right at home creating luxe everyday looks.
And with summer nearly here, the seasoned style pro teamed up with eBay to curate “watchlists” of the season’s hottest trends — including some inspired by A-list moments.
“I believe in taking inspiration, but not copying,” says Welch, who instead advises investing in “key pieces that you can wear time and again, and that will mix easily with lower-priced items.”
Those staple items, of course, will vary from person to person.
“Katie has her own sense of style, which really comes across in street style photos you might see of her,” Welch says of Holmes. “I do help curate her wardrobe [which] not only reflects my taste, but [also] hers.”

Function meets fashion
“Functionality has always been key for some, but I’m seeing a more playful design aesthetic being mixed with utilitarian details. Items like Carhartt jackets, which saw a 29% search increase on eBay year over year, are great investment pieces. So are oversized cargo shorts and pants.”
