Fears are rising for the remote tribe that worshipped Prince Philip after it has not made contact since two cyclones devastated their island.
Tanna Island, which is about 1,300 miles east of northern Australia, has not made contact since two cyclones in two days left a trail of destruction, according to The Times.
The nation Vanuatu was also hit by a 6.5-magnitude earthquake and military rescue teams from Australia, New Zealand and France are rushing to the nation for help.
It is feared that Tanna Island, 140 miles south of Vanuatu’s capital Port Vila, has been hit the hardest and by Monday, authorities weren’t able to make contact with the island.

Channel 4’s Meet the Natives documented the tribes attempt to reconnect with Prince Philip via a delegation of tribe men who travelled to the UK conduct ‘reverse anthropology’, as the show’s creator put it.
They even had a private meeting with the duke as part of the series.
Vanuatu’s National Disaster Management Office has said that most of the country’s 320,000 population including 125,500 children have been affected by the cyclone, leaving them without power, clean water or telecommunications.
New Zealanders in capital city Port Vila said today that they still haven’t heard from friends and family on Tanna Island, while a chairman of the Vanuatu Business Resilience Council said the island residents may remain cut off because the communication lines are still down.
