90 Day Fiancé fans are accustomed to the untraditional dynamics within the franchise’s couples, but season 11 will add another layer with the debut of the show’s first-ever throuple.

Amani and husband Matt will join the cast alongside their girlfriend, Any. The trio opened up about their relationship during a season 11 sneak peek, shared by People on Friday, February 14. Their introduction was quite spicy, as Amani, 30, and Matt, 36, role-played as a sexy nurse and a doctor in the bedroom, while Any, 37, joined as a patient via video chat.

“We have a girlfriend, her name is Any, and she lives in Mexico, – we’re a throuple,” Amani said alongside Matt during a joint confessional interview. “A throuple is when three people are in a relationship. You’re dating that person, so, you’re emotionally involved, physically involved, mentally involved. Nothing is off the table.”

Amani continued to discuss the “stigma” around throuples, claiming that it is “sexualized” by the outside world as a “hookup.”

As for Amani, Matt and Any, they talk every day and have introduced their children to one another over the course of their one-year relationship. Matt and Amani share two daughters together and Any is a single mother.

The San Diego resident later identified her sexuality as bisexual and admitted that she doesn’t like to label her sexual preference.

Matt, for his part, revealed that he was “vulnerable” during the beginning stages of their throuple journey because he thought he wasn’t fulfilling his wife in all aspects of their marriage.

“The more we talked about it, the more we opened up to the idea together,” he added.

Matt, Amani and Any often share photos of each other on social media. On February 8, Amani shared a throwback video of their 2024 Valentine’s Day celebration. The throuple enjoyed a private 22-course meal at Sushi Maru in San Diego and watched their chefs present their meals.

Amani and Matt fell in love with Any while searching for a polyamorous relationship after 10 years of marriage and they often visit the exotic dancer in Tiajuana, Mexico. If Matt and Amani decide to continue their romance with Any and permanently add her to their relationship, they have to divorce in order for her to legally relocate to the U.S. with a K-1 visa.

Matt and Amani’s relationship with Any is similar to a previous TLC throuple, Roberta “Bert” Pache, Garrick Merrifield and Dannielle Merrifield from Seeking Sister Wife.

Garrick, 41, and Dannielle, 36, legally divorced during the show’s first season in order for Bert to legally move to the U.S. from Brazil on a K-1 visa. By season 4, Bert’s visa was approved, but her relationship with Garrick and Dannielle ended after he kissed a woman named Lea. Bert broke up with the pair via text after feeling left out from the relationship.

Additionally, Sister Wives stars Meri Brown and Kody Brown legally divorced in 2014 so that he could legally marry Robyn Brown. Kody was also spiritually married to ex wives Janelle Brown and Christine Brown at the time. The family patriarch, 56, is now in a monogamous relationship with Robyn, 46, following his separation from Meri, 54, in 2023, 2022 split from Janelle, 55, and 2021 breakup with Christine, 52.
