Travis Clark, the husband of “Bringing Up Bates” alum Katie Bates, has publicly admitted to infidelity just a day after the couple experienced a miscarriage.
In a heartfelt note shared via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, Clark confessed, “This is difficult to share, but I owe my wife the truth and an apology. I was unfaithful and engaged in an affair, repeatedly breaching her trust.”
Expressing his remorse, Clark continued, “There is no justification for my actions. The fault is entirely mine. I am deeply sorry for the hurt and damage my behavior has caused her, and I realize words cannot fully convey the depth of my regret.”
He went on to apologize for the “pain, humiliation, and betrayal” he inflicted upon his wife due to his decisions.
“I recognize that an apology alone doesn’t mend the harm I’ve done, and I do not expect forgiveness, nor do I feel entitled to request it,” Clark, who is currently a nursing student, added.
“I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome,” he added.
“I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time,” Clark concluded, signing off his first name.
Clark’s cheating revelation came a day after Bates revealed she suffered a pregnancy loss.
On Friday, the reality star shared a heartbreaking reel on Instagram of herself looking shocked as she held up a positive pregnancy test.
Bates then broke the pregnancy news to Clark by placing a baby onesie on a bed alongside a teddy bear and balloons.
Later in the video, Bates could be seen crying while lying in a hospital bed.
“I just lost my baby,” she emotionally said as someone held her hand.
Bates captioned the post, “I will spend the rest of my life missing you 🪽.”
Bates and Clark tied the knot in December 2021.
They welcomed their first daughter, Hailey James, in February 2023, and their second child, son Harvey Gray, in September 2024.
