Kailyn Lowry is firing back at critics questioning her parenting. The Teen Mom 2 alum took to TikTok on Saturday, September 6, to address critics questioning her parenting, and her response was just as fierce as it was honest.
“Y’all love to say that I don’t raise my kids,” the 33-year-old said in the video. “I have childcare. Yes, I have help from 8 to 4 Monday through Friday. These are traditional working hours. A lot of people put their kids in daycare from 9 to 5. A lot of people have babysitters that they pay for. I do the same thing.”
Lowry was quick to clarify that she doesn’t have a live-in nanny or around-the-clock help. “After 4, if I need a babysitter, I would have to pay for that,” she added. “If you guys could kindly stop discrediting what I do for my kids, that would be great.”
The podcast host, who runs “Coffee Convos,” also acknowledged her privilege. “Not everyone can afford to have that, and so with that being said, I do have help no matter which way you cut it,” Lowry said. “But if you could just stop discrediting what I do, that would be fantastic.”

Lowry shares five children with three co-parents: Elliott, 15, with Jo Rivera; Lincoln, 11, with Javi Marroquin; and Lux, 8, and Creed, 5, with Chris Lopez. She and Elijah Scott also welcomed Rio in 2022 and announced the birth of twins Verse and Valley in 2024, making her parenting journey nothing short of busy.
Her TikTok post came after a fan questioned how she manages to raise so many children. “I think she has help with the kids,” the user wrote. Lowry’s response made it clear that while she does have support, she is hands-on and deeply involved in her children’s lives.
The social media update also gave fans a peek into her latest plastic surgery procedure. Without saying a word, she simply captioned her post: “20 days post opp.”
Back in August, Lowry had documented a “farewell tour for the double chin” before undergoing surgery with Dr. Tina Ho. “I’m getting my neck chopped off in two weeks so I’m, like, sort of waiting to get Botox until after that,” she told podcast cohost Lindsie Chrisley. “I’m really excited to have a snatched jawline. What’s weird [is] when I sit up straight, I don’t really have a double chin, right? But it’s the angles that I always have a double chin. Sometimes I have three.”
