Speculation about a supposed snub from Gordon Ramsay’s family toward the Peatys has been refuted today. The celebrity chef, now 59, is known for his grounded and approachable nature, and those familiar with him argue that his relatives share these traits. This casts doubt on the idea that any perceived slight is a result of elitism, hinting instead at other possible causes for the recent tensions.

The rift has garnered significant attention, especially after Adam Peaty’s mother, Caroline, was reportedly uninvited from both the wedding and hen party of her son and his fiancée, Ramsay’s daughter, Holly. It was implied that the reason behind Caroline’s exclusion from the hen party—an event graced by the likes of Victoria Beckham—was a fear that she might not fit in with the crowd at the upscale Oxfordshire venue.

However, Jane Moore, a contributor to Loose Women and someone who has mingled with the Ramsays, offered a different perspective. Her former husband once collaborated with Ramsay, and she insists the narrative doesn’t align with the Ramsays’ character. Moore shared her insights, stating, “Gordon was always respectful to even the most junior staff during social outings. His background as a former dishwasher who climbed the ranks to success is something he has never lost sight of.

“Given this, it seems unlikely that the fallout between the Ramsays and the family of Holly’s fiancé, Adam Peaty, is due to any notion that they aren’t ‘good enough.’ There must be another underlying issue driving this very public and emotionally charged dispute,” Moore concluded.

“Whatever’s gone wrong between the Ramsays and the family of their daughter Holly’s fiancé Adam Peaty, one doubts it’s because, as some have suggested, Gordon thinks they’re “not good enough” to mix with them. There has to be another reason for the highly public, highly charged fall-out.”

Indeed, Jane argued in her column for The Sun it is more probable Adam, the Olympic swimming champion, may have become distressed after reading vicious online comments directed at Holly during the dispute. This could have resulted in the 30 year old sportsman becoming upset himself.

The journalist, who appeared in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year, continued: “Any young man seeing the woman he loves publicly torn to shreds via the actions of his own family is only going to go one way when forced into an “it’s them or us” showdown… In other words, hell hath no fury like a man who feels his wife has been scorned.”

However, in a recent interview, Caroline, a former nursery manager from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, spoke of the immense distress the situation has caused her.

The mother of four said: “I told Mark [her husband] that for the first time in my life, I felt I didn’t want to live. That’s how low this has made me. I’m a strong woman and I can get through anything, but this has broken me.”

Caroline also maintained that Adam “won’t back down”, which she attributes to his competitive nature. She told the Mail: “Adam will not back down, nor will Holly. Adam rarely says sorry, he has a very black and white view.”
