Gabby Logan has sent out a plea to the running community after she attempted a 5K run today in preparation for a half marathon.
The BBC presenter, who is married to former Scotland rugby ace Kenny Logan, took to Instagram to say that her “body doesn’t feel like her own” after the run.
Facing the camera, she said: “Hi, just been for a run. Need your help, running community.
“I have said ‘Yes’ to the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April, so I’d just thought I’d go out for a little 5K plod…see where I’m at.
“Well, where I’m at, I’m telling you, is beginner. I haven’t run for a while. Been doing all the cycling training…weights.
“And that [run] was disgusting. I feel like my body is not my own. Legs felt awful. My lungs feel like I’ve started smoking.”
She then said that running feels like an “alien thing” and joked about whether or not she should do it to her 215,000 followers.

Gabby recently opened up about difficulties in her sex life with husband Kenny after she first experienced menopause symptoms.
Speaking to Anna Williamson on the It Can’t Just Be Me podcast, the BBC presenter revealed details of how difficult menopause was for her and how she “regained” her libido after starting HRT.
“My libido came back within a week,” she explained.
“I felt definitely a massive improvement there and that was important to me.
“I had a very healthy relationship with my husband and I loved him and fancied him and I couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to have sex with him as much or why it was something that I felt I was going to have to have.”
