Garcelle Beauvais, the former star of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” experienced a frightening swatting incident at her Los Angeles home on Sunday night. This unsettling event follows a previous swatting call she faced several months ago, which occurred while she, her sons, and their friends were away at her beach house.

The latest incident involved a man falsely claiming to be Beauvais’s ex-boyfriend, who contacted police alleging he was armed with a sawed-off shotgun at her residence. This alarming report understandably left the 59-year-old actress feeling terrified.
As reported by TMZ on January 26, law enforcement sources confirmed the fake 911 call. The caller claimed there was a possible assault with a deadly weapon and that shots had been fired.
When police arrived at Beauvais’s home, the supposed suspect refused to meet with them. After conducting a thorough search of the premises, officers found no evidence of any crime. It was determined that this was a case of swatting, where someone falsely reports a crime to provoke a significant police response.
However, when they arrived at the scene, the man wouldn’t meet with them. And, after searching the residence, police determined that there was no evidence of a crime and that the incident was a case of swatting, which is when someone makes a bogus crime report to generate a large response from law enforcement.
Because she was at home by herself when the ordeal went down, Garcelle was said to have found the incident “extremely scary” and “deeply concerning,” and is doing what she can to make sure this was the last swatting experience she’ll have.
In other news, Garcelle addressed the possibility of reconciling with her former RHOBH castmates, including Sutton Stracke, 54, who recently spoke of their estrangement on season 15.
“I’m not looking for that, and I don’t think they are either. So it’s probably even,” she explained to PEOPLE earlier this month, adding that the “past is the past.”
Nearly a year after quitting the show, Garcelle said she feels “fantastic” and “much lighter.”
“It was a good thing, obviously,” she said of leaving Bravo. “I love my life now. I love a little bit of privacy, and I love doing the projects that I’m doing, so it’s good. It’s nice not to have the camera in your face all the time. And my kids appreciate that too.”
Garcelle shares Oliver Saunders, 34, with her first ex-husband, Daniel Saunders, and 18-year-old twins Jax and Jaid with her second ex-husband, Michael Nilon.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
