Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Garcelle Beauvais gave two reasons for her departure from the show. One centered around spending more time with her family, and the other involved focusing more of her attention on her acting and producing career.

Now, she’s living up to her Hollywood goals as her partnership with Lifetime has been expanded, and she also has a Netflix show that has been renewed for another season.

Garcelle, 58, has been acting since the late 1980s. While RHOBH opened her up to a new fanbase, her most notable acting roles include starring in The Jamie Foxx Show and NYPD Blue. She’s also currently a cast member on Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest, which the streamer has picked up for a third season.

According to Deadline, Garcelle is expanding her deal with the Lifetime network and will both star in and executive produce multiple new films. One of the upcoming films is Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie, and the other is Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love. Both movies serve as sequels in their respective franchises.

The RHOBH alum released a statement, saying, “I’m thrilled to continue telling stories that resonate deeply with audiences and put women—especially Black women—at the center. Working with Lifetime has given me the opportunity to expand narratives that are heartfelt, suspenseful, and full of purpose. Both of these films are incredibly special to me, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience them.”

Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming, A&E, Lifetime, and LMN, said, “Garcelle is an undeniable creative force whose passion for telling authentic, impactful stories continues to inspire our audiences.”

The statement continued, “We are honored to continue our collaboration with Garcelle as both a producer and star. These new films not only deepen the emotional and cultural resonance of our programming but also reaffirm our shared commitment to championing diverse voices and stories that matter.”

This announcement comes after Lifetime made the decision just last year to enhance its partnership with Garcelle. She shared a statement on Instagram at the time, saying, “Beyond excited to share! Following their collaboration on the Black Girl Missing movie released last year—starring and executive produced by Beauvais—Lifetime is extending the franchise with two new movies to be EP’ed by Beauvais.”

It went on, “Black Girl Missing earned a Gracie and ASTRA Award from the Hollywood Critics Alliance for Best Television Movie, as well as received nominations for an NAACP Image Award, a Black Reel Award, and a Rockie Award. The new movies continue the conversations about systemic inequalities where missing girls and women of color are ignored.”

The statement then said, “Additionally, Beauvais will star and executive produce a new movie under the Terry McMillian Presents banner.”

Congrats to Garcelle as she continues her work as an actress and producer in her post-RHOBH life.
