GB News stars launches blistering eight-word attack on Labour

GB News host Patrick Christys, known for his role on the Tonight show, recently unleashed a fierce critique of Keir Starmer’s Labour Party in a blistering post on social media. The 33-year-old, who shares his life with fellow presenter Emily Carver, took to X to voice his disapproval. In his post, Christys remarked, “This is the most deceitful government in history. Everything is a lie,” a sentiment that quickly garnered widespread support from his followers.

One supporter commented, “It is staggering… we need a constitution that holds people accountable for lies, fraud, and deception.” Another follower humorously noted, “One has to feel sorry for them, because if they stopped lying, they might just stop breathing.” A third chimed in, “Agree, but at least they’re doing one thing right by making Labour unelectable.”

Another user questioned, “Patrick, when do these lies actually get them removed from power? I thought breaking manifesto promises was enough to see them out?”

“And yet they all continue to keep their jobs! Make it make sense!” exclaimed another commentator.

Meanwhile, another follower expressed frustration, saying, “They’re utterly shameless. The lies began with the alleged 20 billion black hole and have continued unabated. They lie as if we’re powerless to stop them, even when we’re fully aware.”

Christys’ remarks came just days after Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced the budget which broke the party’s manifesto promises.

Labour promised in the run-up to the 2024 general election not to raise taxes on working people, ruling out increases in national insurance, the basic, higher, or additional rates of income tax, and VAT. Despite this, Reeves maintained a freeze on these contributions, which will lead to the ordinary worker paying more tax.

Challenged about the budget on Sky News, Reeves skirted the issue. “In the manifesto, we were very clear that it was the rates of income tax, National Insurance and VAT. But I’m not going to get into semantics. I recognise that we are asking people to contribute more by freezing those allowances.

“They were already frozen by the previous government from 2021-28, and we’re freezing them for a further three years.

“I do recognise that I was asking ordinary people to pay a little bit more, but I’ve managed to keep that contribution as low as I possibly can by closing loopholes and asking those with the broadest shoulders to pay more.”
