Adrien Brody’s girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, seemingly didn’t mind Halle Berry kissing the actor on the Oscars 2025 red carpet.

On Sunday, Brody was being interviewed by the media at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles when the “Catwoman” actress snuck up behind him.

“I’m sorry, Georgina, but I have to do it,” she warned Chapman before wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a big kiss on his lips.

While the two locked lips and laughed off the encounter, the fashion designer was seen clapping and cheering from the sidelines in her strapless custom Marchesa gown.

Berry, who has been dating Van Hunt since 2020, then told Chapman that she had to “pay him back.”

“I had to do that, I had to pay him back,” she said to the “Project Runway All Stars” alum, per “Access Hollywood.”

She also clarified that Chapman, who also began dating Brody in 2020, had given her permission to kiss the actor.

“Only because Georgina said I could,” she noted.

The seemingly harmless kiss was a reenactment of Brody and Berry’s famous smooch at the Oscars in 2003.

At the time, the “Monster’s Ball” actress was presenting Brody, 51, with the best actor award for his role as Wladyslaw Szpilman in “The Pianist” when he pulled her in for a kiss.

While viewers thought the moment was staged, Berry clarified it wasn’t.

“No, that was not planned. I knew nothing about it,” she said during a 2017 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” 

“For real, I was like, ‘What the f–k is happening right now?’ That is what was going through my mind.”

Berry said she “just f–king went with it” while wondering “what the f–k is going on?”

Brody went on to win his second Oscar for his role in “The Brutalist” on Sunday.

Despite thanking Chapman during his speech, fans noticed that he had actually spat out his gum and tossed it to the fashion designer before getting on stage.
