RHONJ's Gia Giudice Confirms Riley Burruss Feud Ahead of Next Gen NYC Premiere, Find Out What She Said That "Really Offended" Her Co-Star as She Insists She Meant No Harm

Gia Giudice is at odds with Riley Burruss ahead of the premiere of their new Bravo show, Next Gen NYC.

After she and Dolores Catania, 54, compared The Real Housewives of New Jersey to The Real Housewives of Atlanta on her podcast, Casual Chaos, Gia, 24, revealed that Riley, 22, was “really offended” by her comments about the two shows, on which their moms, Teresa Giudice, 53, and Kandi Burruss, 49, have starred.

“I didn’t think it was that deep,” Gia told Us Weekly on May 31. “I don’t know how to please her, I guess.”

On Casual Chaos, after Dolores suggested that RHOA could give RHONJ “a run,” Gia recalled a tense conversation she had with Riley in regard to the matter.

“I actually said that to Riley, because I mean — it’s been talked about in the press — but the new Bravo show coming out that I’m on,” Gia explained. “She got really offended by that. She looked at me and said, ‘No, they’re very different.’ … I was very surprised, but she got very offended when I said that. It was me also trying to bond over something.”

Days later, during the interview with Us Weekly, Gia shared that she also saw the topic discussed on TikTok.

“It’s the same guy that always reports on drama,” she revealed. “He actually [hit] the nail on the head. He said, ‘I don’t really think Gia was comparing Kandi and Teresa.’ I was not. In no way, shape or form. I literally was just trying to break bread, make some conversation. All I was saying was, obviously, every Housewife franchise has its own niche. … But at the end of the day, they also have the same common denominator. They’re friend groups with drama.”

“[I] wasn’t trying to say anything offensive at all. I really was just like, our moms are on reality TV. They’re both on Bravo. I don’t know, she didn’t really like it, I guess,” Gia added.

While Gia and Riley have their issues, Gia has a “great relationship” with her other co-star and fellow Real Housewives daughter Ariana Biermann, 23. However, Ariana is closer to Riley.

“I thought maybe we would be friends. I didn’t think she was going to be my best friend,” Ariana admitted to Us Weekly about their friendship. “I didn’t know what to think, but I definitely didn’t think we were going to hit it off on our first day ever hanging out, and that’s what we did.”

“That will definitely keep some friendships rocky and on the rocks between a lot of different people,” she added.

Next Gen NYC season one premieres on Tuesday, June 3, at 9/8c on Bravo.
