Gia Giudice recently weighed in on the breakup of her Next Gen NYC co-stars, Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy.
Appearing on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show on Tuesday, October 21, Giudice, 24, expressed her surprise over the couple’s decision to part ways after years of an on-and-off relationship that began in junior high. “Honestly, it was unexpected. I care for both of them, but their decision is theirs. Ariana is wonderful and will definitely thrive independently,” remarked the Real Housewives of New Jersey personality.
Giudice also gave advice on how Biermann, 24, and McLeroy, 23, might handle life post-breakup, suggesting, “I believe they both need some time to themselves. After all, we’re still young, and it’s all about self-discovery.”
The discussion follows Biermann’s announcement of their separation on her Instagram Story, dated Tuesday, October 14. She wrote, “Hudson and I have chosen to go our separate ways. While it’s never easy, we both feel it’s the best decision for us at this time. We truly appreciate all the love and support from everyone over the years.”
The post also noted that “sometimes, life takes you in different directions and that’s ok.”
McLeroy confirmed the news by sharing his ex’s announcement via his own Instagram Stories.
While details into the cause of the split have not been revealed, McLeroy took to Instagram earlier this month to claim that “everyone deserves to hear both sides of our story.”
His Instagram Story also read, “I still and always will love Ariana. She’s been there for me at times when I couldn’t be there for myself. I still have a lot of things I need to heal from and deal with on my own to become the person I truly want to be.”
One day later, Biermann documented her move out of the former couple’s shared apartment.. “Today is moving day, again,” she told the camera in an Instagram video. “I’m moving into my own apartment. … First ever apartment in New York City. I’m the sole person on the lease. I’m excited, but also a very bittersweet thing.”
Biermann and McLeroy first took their relationship public when they shared Instagram photos of one another in 2018. As their high school romance progressed, Biermann offered a glimpse during a 2022 birthday tribute to her boyfriend.
“You are everything I could dream of, and have been since we were 14,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “You have the purest sweetest soul of anyone I know. I’m so thankful I get to love you, and to experience your love. It’s one of a kind. You have brought me more happiness than I knew was possible.”
Celebrating her own recent birthday as a single woman on Sunday, October 19, Biermann is seemingly moving on from the split with an optimistic outlook.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes,” she wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a photo of her blowing out birthday cake candles. “And to all the amazing people who celebrated with me I love yall!!! So blessed to see another year, here’s to 24!!!”
