Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has faced furious backlash from fans after branding King Charles an “abysmal father” – while sticking up for his wayward son Prince Harry. The ITV commentator reacted to a headline from InStyle which reported that “King Charles and Prince Harry’s potential meeting is ‘make-or-break’”.

Narinder fumed on X: “Why don’t people stay out of it? It’s between father and son. Harry has a right to see his father before his father passes away, not that Charles deserves his love after being an abysmal father. Also, Harry is not in the UK for a ‘reunion’. He is here for… WORK.

“A royal who is actually committed to his public duties and travels across the world to fulfil his obligations.”

Narinder faced fierce backlash from other social media users, as one fumed: “Harry is here to promote his brand and nothing else. He gave up the royal game so he can’t keep popping in and out. He can certainly meet his father but the Harry-Meghan brand keeps exploiting the link for their benefits. Made bed, go lie in it comes to mind.”

Narinder responded: “Yes he can… the Invictus Games is phenomenal and he is amazing. Wtf you on about? He can do what he wants… he’s a prince!”

Another social media user said: “He is not here for his duties. He is not a working royal. I hope he sees his dad and they can all reconcile.”

Someone else posted: “‘Abysmal father’? Well who made you judge and juror?”

And another said: “How do you REALLY know what kind of father Charles was? None of us have any real information, we’re reliant on tabloid tattle and other ‘sources close to’. So perhaps you should take the advice you give to others: let’s all leave them alone.”
