Raza Siddiqui, a beloved figure on Gogglebox, has been absent from the show due to an unfortunate accident that left him with cracked ribs. On Tuesday, February 17th, Raza took to Instagram to share the news about his absence from the show, where he typically enjoys watching TV shows and movies with his father, Sid, and his brothers, Umar and Bassit, in the latest season.
Photos of Raza, who has been a part of the Channel 4 hit since its inception in 2013, were posted on the family’s Instagram, showing him both in the hospital and recovering at home. The post explained: “For those keen-eyed Gogglebox fans, you might have noticed Raza (@razathefaint) hasn’t been on the sofa this season. Unfortunately, he took a tumble a few weeks ago, resulting in cracked ribs.” The family expressed optimism that Raza would be back on the show “in a few weeks” as he is “recovering well.”
The update continued: “He’s doing a fantastic job with his recovery, staying upbeat and keeping busy with walks, watching TV, reading, and enjoying time with his nephew Theodore.”
“Your messages of support will undoubtedly bring an even bigger smile to his face than any pain relief could. We can’t wait for all four Siddiquis to be reunited on @c4gogglebox, joining the other wonderful families.”
Fans of Gogglebox were quick to fill the comments with well-wishes for Raza’s speedy recovery. One fan wrote: “Bless you, get well soon. We’re looking forward to seeing you back on our screens when you’re ready!”
Another fan added: “Hope you are soon better and back on the sofa Raza, but take care of yourself. (sic)”.
