It’s that exciting season once more.

The film and television industry’s elite will gather to honor the most outstanding achievements at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, taking place on Sunday, January 11.

Among the celebrated nominees are Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessie Buckley, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Jeremy Allen White, Oscar Isaac, Chase Infiniti, Cynthia Erivo, Britt Lower, Rhea Seehorn, Seth Rogen, and Noah Wyle.

This year’s ceremony introduces a groundbreaking addition with the Best Podcast category, a first for the Globes. This new category allows podcast hosts such as Alex Cooper and Mel Robbins to vie for recognition alongside film and television icons.

Adding to the list of firsts, this year debuted the “Golden Eve” special, broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ on Thursday, January 8. This special is part of the network’s innovative “Golden Week” leading up to the main event.

Matthew Broderick presented his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, with this year’s Carol Burnett Award during the first-ever primetime special, while Harrison Ford presented Helen Mirren with this year’s Cecille B. DeMille Award.

When is the show?

The 2026 Golden Globes will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 11, starting at 8 p.m. EST.

Where can you watch and stream the ceremony?

The show is set to air live on CBS at 8 p.m. EST and stream on Paramount+. It’s expected to end after three hours at 11 p.m. ET.

Who is hosting?

Nikki Glaser is once again hosting the 2026 Golden Globes after becoming the first woman to helm the award show on her own last year.

Glaser, 41, crushed her emcee debut and poked fun at some of the most famous people in the room, including Ariana Grande, Zendaya, Ford and Glen Powell during her opening monologue.

“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” she said in a statement after it was confirmed she’d be returning.

“I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus’ who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past,” Glaser added.

The comedian, however, explained that she’s going to be more “delicate” with her jokes this time around during a chat with “CBS Mornings” ahead of the big night.

“But you also want to give the people at home something to laugh at, and you want to poke fun at the people they’re dying for you to make fun of,” she explained. “Like people at home want you to make fun of the A-listers. They want you to make them feel a little bit uncomfortable.”

“It’s covert in the sense that I want to get away with those jokes without ruining the vibe in the room,” Glaser added. “It’s really strategic and one of the most difficult jobs I’ve had.”

Who is nominated this year?

“One Battle After Another” leads all the night’s nominees with nine nominations, including acting nods for DiCaprio and Infiniti and a directing nomination for Paul Thomas Anderson.

Some of the actors competing against DiCaprio are Chalamet for “Marty Supreme,” George Clooney for “Jay Kelly” and Ethan Hawke for “Blue Moon.”

Infiniti’s competition includes Erivo for “Wicked: For Good,” Emma Stone for “Bugonia” and Rose Byrne for “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.”

“Sentimental Value,” a Danish film, was second with eight nominations – including an acting nod for star Renate Reinsve.

Her competition on the drama side includes Buckley for “Hamnet,” Julia Roberts for “After the Hunt” and Lawrence for “Die My Love.”
