“Friends” star Matthew Perry was a beloved actor, comedian and cast-mate, but his untimely passing sparked a criminal investigation.

The heartbreaking case is the subject of an original movie, “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy,” featuring Morgan Fairchild, who played his mother on “Friends,” and interviews with law enforcement experts discussing the ongoing trial.

Five defendants, including his personal assistant, two medical doctors, and a woman dubbed Hollywood’s “Ketamine Queen” were charged in connection with the “The Whole Nine Yards” star’s 2023 death at age 54. Of the five, three pleaded guilty, and the remaining two are still pending trial.

Directed by Robert Palumbo, “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy,” was produced by Ian Russell, Mike Griffiths and Robert Palumbo from ITN Productions.

The story of Perry’s rise to fame is interwoven with the story of his final days in the riveting doc. Perry’s collaborators, Hollywood insiders and law enforcement are featured in the tragic Hollywood story.
