In the wake of Brooklyn Beckham’s recent public criticism of his parents, David and Victoria, his younger sister Harper has made her presence felt on social media. On Monday, the 26-year-old aspiring chef unleashed a statement on Instagram, accusing his parents of attempting to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz, who is 31. He also claimed they were maintaining superficial friendships for social media appearances. The statement reportedly left Victoria distraught, especially since it included an accusation of inappropriate behavior at Brooklyn’s wedding. Despite the uproar, she has not publicly responded to these allegations.
Harper, who is 14, has not directly addressed the situation but showed her support for her brother Romeo on Instagram. She praised the 23-year-old for his modeling in Paris, sharing a black-and-white photo of him at Paris Fashion Week. Her caption read: “Yet again! Another amazing show x @romeobeckham @willychavarria [black love heart emoji].” This update was reported by the Mirror.
This Instagram post was Harper’s first since Brooklyn’s controversial statement. Victoria, a noted fashion designer, also celebrated Romeo’s success, expressing her pride with a video of him on the runway. Cruz, the youngest Beckham brother, joined in, enthusiastically posting: “Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhh.”
Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, added her own words of encouragement, commenting: “Goooooooo baby go.” In his Instagram rant, Brooklyn claimed his brothers had been manipulated into turning against him, asserting that they blocked him on social media over the summer. He lamented that the “Brand Beckham” image seemed to overshadow genuine family connections.
Brooklyn further alleged that expressions of family love were contingent on social media appearances and photo opportunities, often prioritized over personal or professional commitments.
Harper, meanwhile, had always shared a close bond with her eldest brother, but since the dispute, which erupted last year, intensified, they have found it challenging to preserve their connection.
Brooklyn is apparently finding it “difficult” to sustain his relationship with the teenager and prefers to protect his younger sister from the controversy, which is proving challenging, considering she resides with their parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria.
Claims have emerged that the couple would ‘take Brooklyn back in a minute’ despite his explosive declaration. Nevertheless, speaking to the Mirror regarding the breakdown, a source suggested the former Spice Girl experienced a sense of betrayal from her son and his wife, stating: “Victoria feels betrayed because she’d done everything she can to make them both feel welcome and Nicola like another daughter. But she feels it’s been thrown back in her face.”
