Harry Styles is facing backlash over ticket artwork for his Together, Together Tour after fans noticed what many described as an unsettling reference to Sept. 11, surfacing just two days before Friday’s 25th anniversary of the attacks.
The image, shared by a social media user, appears to show a yellow car — seemingly carrying Styles — soaring above the Empire State Building while leaving a streak across the spire of the famed New York City landmark.
The design reportedly appears on a ticket for Wednesday, Sept. 9, marking the seventh night of Styles’ Madison Square Garden run.
Reaction online was swift, with one user writing, “putting that on the back the week of 9/11 is f–king insane 😭 it’s cute but i fear that was not a good idea.” Another called the choice “a little bold given its 9/11 week in NYC.”
Others were equally stunned. “bro that’s wild,” one commenter posted, while another questioned, “literally who approved this 😭?”

This ticket fiasco comes as NYC is preparing to mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed after two commercial airlines flew into them on Sept. 11, 2001.
The collective 9/11 attacks are the deadliest terrorist attack in United States history.
Styles is currently midway through a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden that kicked off Aug. 26 and run through Halloween on Oct. 31.

He’s already performed in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo and Mexico City.
He’ll head to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney after wrapping up his time in NYC — his only stop in the United States on his Together, Together Tour.
The tour is Styles’ third solo tour since his split from One Direction and is in support of his fourth studio album, 2026’s “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.”
The “Watermelon Sugar” singer emailed his fans Wednesday to share that he’ll be announcing 2027 dates for the Together, Together tour on Thursday, Sept. 10.
“When we decided to do the 2026 tour I knew it would be special but what you turned it into was far beyond what I could have imagined,” he began in the email, per Rolling Stone.
“I love playing music, I love being with all of you and being a part of the love and joy you all create together every night,” he continued. “That’s why I wanted you to be the first to know we will be adding 2027 dates.”
While Styles admitted the thought of adding additional dates was “daunting,” he shared that “being an artist is the only life [he’s] ever known” and that he feels “like the luckiest person in the world to still be sharing these moments with [his fans].”
The Grammy winner said the dates that will be announced are for the “final cities” for the tour.
“After that, I don’t know what comes next for me,” he revealed, “but I know that I’m excited to find out.”
Styles is currently engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz, so perhaps he’ll be turning his attention to wedding planning when he’s off the road.
