There’s something about Ted Lasso that is just so charming that it’s hard not to feel captivated by it, and Keeley Hazell’s character Bex is a fan favorite. There are definitely two types of people: those who recommend the AppleTV+ series to friends… and those who have it recommended to them. The show is always praised for being about nice people treating each other well, which can be a welcome break from darker content.
Co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Keeley Hazell began dating in 2021 after he broke up with Olivia Wilde, with whom he shares two children. And as we watched the drama between Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde, Keeley Hazell put a page from Nora Ephron’s novel “Heartburn” on her Instagram story after Wilde shared Ephron’s salad dressing recipe.
Although Sudeikis and Hazell were together for over a year, their relationship came to an end. But has Keeley Hazell had a boyfriend since breaking up with her fellow Ted Lasso cast member?
Has Keeley Hazell Been In A Relationship Since Jason Sudeikis?
Jason Sudeikis came up with the Keeley Jones character because of Keeley Hazell, and the couple began dating in February 2021, according to People. But after they broke up in May 2022, has the actress dated anyone else?
According to The Sun, the pair broke up due to “hectic schedules” which is definitely a common ready why celebrities end their relationships since their jobs can find them traveling all over. It was perhaps surprising to fans to learn about the break-up, though, as they seemed to really hit it off.
It doesn’t appear that Keeley Hazell has been dating anyone else since May 2022. It’s possible that she’s been single for the past year but, of course, also possible that she doesn’t want to be part of another public love story.
While of course Hazell and Sudeikis co-starred on Ted Lasso together, they also both starred in the 2014 sequel Horrible Bosses 2. And that’s where they first interacted with one another, according to People.
Hazell played Miss Lang, who works for Chris Pine’s character Rex Hanson. But although their first meeting was in 2014, it took them a few years to begin dating.
As for whether Sudeikis has dated anyone since breaking up with Hazell, he doesn’t appear to have anyone new in his life. Page Six reported in March 2023 that while both actors were at the season 3 premiere of Ted Lasso, they didn’t seem to be close to each other, and they took pictures on the red carpet without each other.
Keeley Hazell Played Bex And Wrote 6 Episodes Of Ted Lasso
A good TV show is absolutely reliant upon its characters, and while of course Ted Lasso himself is great, the series fleshes out its cast with great minor characters. Keeley Hazell’s character, Bex, is Rupert Mannion’s love interest.
Bex has some tension with Rupert’s former wife Rebecca Welton, as Bex learns that she’s having a baby in season 3 and Rebecca feels terrible as she wanted to have kids but Rupert didn’t.
Bex appears in six episodes of Ted Lasso, and Keeley Hazell was also a staff writer on the comedy series, credited with writing six episodes on IMDb.

Keeley Hazell was a model, but has since become a writer. In October 2022, Deadline reported that she sold her memoir to Grand Central Publishing. Hazell spoke about opening up in her memoir to The U.S. Sun. and compared it to penning fictional characters like on Ted Lasso.
The actress said, “Usually I sit at a laptop and write some things and then cry, bang my head against a brick wall, make myself something to eat and cry a bit more. Then I write a little bit more. That is pretty much the process. It is therapeutic in many ways, but also very triggering.” This is likely a sentiment that other memoir writers can relate to as it can be tough to write about hard times and feelings.
She continued, “Going into your past, looking at things from every single angle is a lot. And writing about yourself – I much prefer writing characters for other people.”
Keeley Hazell also said in her interview with The Sun that because she was being candid about the modeling world, she hoped it would “start a conversation.”
What Did Keeley Hazell Say About Jason Sudeikis?
While it would be fair to say that both actors like having some privacy regarding their dating lives, and Hazell hasn’t spoken about her romance with Sudeikis specifically, she has shared how much she likes being part of Ted Lasso. And she had some really kind words about what he’s like behind the scenes of the popular AppleTV+ series.
The Ted Lasso actors spoke about Jason Sudeikis in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in March 2023, and Keeley Hazell was part of the discussion. Given the couple’s break-up in the spring of 2022 and all the media scrutiny surrounding their relationship, it was hard not to be curious about what Hazell had to say about her co-star and former boyfriend.
Hazell said, “He’s really, really great. I mean, he’s a visionary. He paid me to say that so I’m happy I got it in.” [On his skill as a collaborator in the writers room] It all really comes down to Jason. He’s the final decision.”
She also compared the experience of writing the series to “building a house.” She said that the writers share their ideas with him and “he kind of picks and chooses.” This is a great way to describe the collaborative process of writing or any creative project where a group works together.
Hazell continued in her interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she loves the characters who were added to season 3 of Ted Lasso. It seems that even though she might not be dating anyone, she is having a great time exploring the world of writing, from Ted Lasso to her memoir. And while fans were pretty sure that the show would wrap up with season 3, that might not be the case.
According to Deadline.com, Lisa Katler, a Ted Lasso producer, said that the show might have more episodes: “We hope it goes on… Initially we were down for three, but it’s up in the air at the moment.” Given Katler’s comments, perhaps there will be more Ted Lasso and fans will see more of Keeley Hazell.
