Netflix’s beloved reality show Love on the Spectrum returned for season 3 in April 2025, with fan-favorite cast member Tanner Smith back on the dating scene. The Clemson, South Carolina, native met a woman named Callie Truelove this season, and many fans are wondering if the pair is still together today.
Who Is Love on the Spectrum’s Callie Truelove?
Callie is 21 years old as of April 2025 and was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, when she was two months old, according to her Facebook page. Her parents were initially told that she may not live to see her first birthday, but Callie survived and now spends her time traveling around the U.S. to raise awareness about the condition.
Williams Syndrome is “characterized by unique physical features, delays in cognitive development and potential cardiovascular problems,” according to Cleveland Clinic. “Children born with Williams syndrome can have a normal life expectancy but may develop side effects from the condition that can affect their prognosis.”
Callie’s story was the subject of the 2023 documentary Truelove: The Film, featuring Christopher Knight, Wynonna Judd and Carrie Underwood.
Tanner Smith Meets Callie Truelove in ‘Love on the Spectrum’ Season 3
Tanner and Callie went on a few dates in the park together in season 3 and hit it off, with the Clemson University grad calling her “smoking hot” and kissing her on the cheek at one point.
“You’re very nice and very kind, and I like your personality. And you’re easy to talk to. You’re very sweet and kind too. I love somebody who likes to talk,” Tanner told Callie.

Meanwhile, Callie told Tanner that he “knew how to treat a woman” and that she “enjoyed every minute” of their time together. Tanner asked Callie if she wanted to marry a Christian man someday, and she said that was her goal.
“[I want to] own a farm and wake up early in the mornings, and take care of all the animals and watch the sunrise, and I like to do all that kind of stuff,” Callie continued.
While reflecting on one of his dates with his mom, Tanner said that Callie was “nice, kind, polite. She’s strong and lovable.” He also said that they have a lot in common. “We both love pizza, hamburgers, chicken tenders, and ice cream,” Tanner added.
Are Love on the Spectrum’s Tanner and Callie Still Together?
Though Tanner and Callie had a great time together, the pair ultimately decided that they would just be friends. The Shepherd Hotel employee ended Love on the Spectrum season 3 as a single man. However, he admitted to Netflix’s Tudum that the show helped him meet “a lot of really good lady friends” who are “very cute and beautiful.” At the end of the day, he’s happy with the love he has from the people in his life, including his friends, roommates and his sister.
“My sister Midge is the best!” Tanner said. “She is one of my very best friends in the world, and she helps me when I have hard days. We also laugh and have so much fun together! She talks me through things when I’m confused, and we talk about dating too. I ask her questions about things I don’t know.”
Tanner concluded, “I’m a lucky guy.”
