In an atmosphere brimming with festive warmth, King Charles III and Queen Camilla unveiled their 2025 Christmas card, capturing a moment of joy as the monarch contemplates the possibility of this holiday season being “his last.”
On Saturday, the royal couple shared their holiday card on Instagram, radiating happiness. The photograph, taken during their visit to the Villa Wolkonsky in Rome, Italy, last April, features the pair beaming and clasping hands affectionately.
King Charles, aged 77, exuded sophistication in a sharp blue suit paired with a sleek silver tie. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla, at 78, looked elegant in a white, long-sleeved dress, complementing the serene backdrop of their Italian setting.
Accompanying the image, the caption read, “🎄✨ It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” adding a festive note to the shared moment.
This year, their annual holiday card carries a deeper significance. Reports indicate that King Charles aims to make the upcoming Christmas particularly memorable as he continues to face his battle with cancer, infusing the season with special meaning.
“Charles prioritizes duty, but he’s also a family man who knows his time is precious,” an insider told Us Weekly Thursday.
Charles plans to spend Christmas morning at Mary Magdalene Church and will record his annual speech.
“Nothing would stop Charles from doing that,” the source said. “He will do everything expected of him and more.”
Another insider expressed concerns from his loved ones that “his health isn’t the best.”
“They’re taking it day by day,” the source said.
Charles, however, shared that he wasn’t doing “too bad” during a visit to the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in September.
In February 2024, the king revealed that he was diagnosed with “a form of cancer.”
At the time, he had recently undergone a procedure for an enlarged prostate.
A few months later, Charles’ daughter-in-law Princess Kate Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.
She completed her chemotherapy treatments that September and revealed her cancer-free status in January.
