Hilaria Baldwin has taken a stand against critics who recently targeted her 12-year-old daughter over her choice of attire, accusing her of dressing inappropriately for her age.
The mother of seven faced a barrage of negative feedback on Instagram. This came after she shared a video featuring her daughter, Carmen, dancing alongside her two younger siblings.
Critics were quick to comment on Carmen’s outfit, which included a pearl body-chain, a white tank top, a khaki skirt, and black tights. One individual remarked that Carmen was “dressed too maturely for her age” and advised her to “tone it down.”
Another commenter questioned, “Why does this 12-year-old look 25?” while someone else commented, “She’s 12! Why the rush to grow up?”
A particularly stinging comment read, “How on Earth do you let a 12-year-old dress like this… EVERYTHING!” This prompted Baldwin to respond directly in an Instagram Reel, which she has since removed.
During her rant, the yoga instructor, 42, held up a white board that had a chart called “Untrue Thoughts.” She accused criticizers of being jealous about getting older and being “pushed out” of the “women prime” era into the “old lady” stage of life, which were split up into different sections on the chart.
“My kids are so safe wearing a tank top, skirt and tights. She’s been wearing that her whole life. So why is it making you uncomfortable?”
She also noted that she teaches her kids about online safety so anyone who claims to be concerned doesn’t have to worry and should keep the negativity to themselves.
“Predators are real — trust me I know — the way to take care of them is not through Instagram comments or shaming,” she said.
Hilaria — who shares her seven children with husband Alec Baldwin — is no stranger to clapping back at haters.
Last month, she hit back at an age-shaming troll who called her out for wearing a dress that was “too short.”
“Richie, are you saying that 41-year-old women can’t show off our legs?” Hilaria said in an Instagram Reel replying to the comment.
“I’ll tell you what, I’ll show you a workout, and if you can do it, I’ll lend you my dress,” she continued. “It’s really fast, bear with me.”
The “Baldwins” star proceeded to do a headstand in the dress.
She has spoken out of being a victim of cyberbullying on several occasions and claimed that was the reason she got eliminated from “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34.
In October, Hilaria — who was paired with Gleb Savchenko — told Us Weekly that internet “mean girls” started TikTok campaigns where “they were voting for all the other couples except [them].”
“Very coordinated, very strategic bullying,” she added.
