Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone’s divorce proceedings have brought new attention to the former weightlifter’s finances, including the surprisingly substantial income he earns. Although his “90 Day Fiancé” appearances may seem like the obvious source of his wealth, much of Mendes’ earnings reportedly comes from his work outside reality television.
As “90 Day Fiancé” fans will know, Mendes filed for divorce from Ramone in 2026. With that, their respective earnings have been made public, and according to TMZ, he makes $10,000 per month. That doesn’t exactly make him the richest “90 Day Fiancé” star, but it’s nothing to sneer at either, and like we said, there’s a good chance much of it comes from working regular jobs outside of TLC. In his Instagram bio, Mendes has said he’s involved in both franchising for Teriyaki Boy restaurants and commercial real estate. As for his LinkedIn, he’s listed as an account exec at the kitchen software company CloudKitchens and a regional sales manager at home security company Brinks Home. Between all of that and his “90 Day Fiancé” checks, he’s got a number of income streams.
Unfortunately for Mendes, his income isn’t the only financial detail to have been made public in the wake of his divorce from Ramone. On the contrary, some of his debts have also made headlines. In May 2026, Starcasm reported that three civil suits were brought against him in 2025 over unpaid credit cards and loans. Sadly, that still wasn’t all: In June 2026, Starcasm shared another report, this time that Mendes’ total debt was over $221,800. On Instagram, his estranged wife shared a cryptic response to the outlet’s post about the debt, quipping, “I can confirm I have no idea what’s that lol.”

Patrick Mendes previously avoided talking about money
The financial details made public during Patrick Mendes’ divorce are not the first reason fans have wondered about his income. Viewers may remember a tense moment from his relationship with Thais Ramone, when she asked about his net worth. Instead of answering—or agreeing to discuss the matter privately—Mendes appeared to lose his temper.
That reaction was particularly dramatic. After Ramone explained that she did not understand their financial situation, Mendes avoided giving a clear response and scattered cash across the table, telling her to use it for household purchases—the very issue that had sparked their argument. Ramone was visibly upset, calling the gesture “horrible” and later saying in a confessional, “It is really disrespectful for a man to do this to a woman, anywhere in the world.”
The scene prompted criticism from several YouTube viewers. One commenter suggested that Mendes’ secrecy made it appear as though he could be involved in questionable business dealings or hiding significant debt. Another viewer described his defensiveness toward his then-fiancée as suspicious, arguing that Ramone did not seem to be pursuing him for a lavish lifestyle. Still, Mendes may simply have been uncomfortable discussing money in front of the cameras. Whatever the reason, his split from Ramone and the spending details that followed have given fans a clearer look at the reality star’s financial life.
