Lisa started making money when she was only nine years old by enrolling full-time in drama school and working in children’s films and TV shows. She made her film debut at the age of thirteen as a character’s daughter in the 1973 romantic comedy film titled, A Touch of Class. The film later won an Oscar Award, though Vanderpump herself had nothing to do with the award given to the film. She later appeared in small roles in episodic television programs throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, including Silk Stalkings and Baywatch Nights. According to CheatSheet, Lisa accrued a reported $1 million per season, making her one of the highest-paid stars in the entire Real Housewives franchise. With that salary in addition to her other reality TV shows and spin-offs, Lisa has become one of the highest-paid stars on Bravo overall. Vanderpump Rules is a reality TV series, and spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, about the staff at Lisa’s restaurants and bars. Since premiering on Bravo in 2013, the show has resulted in two spin-offs, Vanderpump Rules After Show and Vanderpump Rules: Jax And Brittany Take Kentucky. Vanderpump Dogs is another spin-off of RHOBH, featuring Lisa as she runs her dog rescue organization, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, with staff and people adopting pets. Vanderpump Dogs only ran for one season in 2021, but Vanderpump Rules is still going strong.

The Vanderpump Dog Foundation creates a better world for dogs worldwide by providing essential care and resources in partnership with rescue sanctuaries in different countries. Lisa owns and operates two rescue facilities in China with over 500 dogs rescued from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and the dog meat trade. In addition to establishing rescue sanctuaries, Lisa is also involved in ventures that feed, vaccinate, and spay and neuter dogs in Peru and Venezuela.

The Vanderpump Estate Jewelry Collection was first launched in 2015 and debuted on Valentine’s Day weekend in 2022 during EVINE Live’s broadcast at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. 1 Vanderpump Wine and Liquor
Lisa created Vanderpump Rosé as a classic Côtes de Provence wine, with all the history and flavors that are offered in the South of France. Lisa also launched a Sonoma County Cabernet paired with an estate-grown Sonoma Coast Chardonnay that are luxurious, elegant, and delicious but still an affordable possibility. Lisa’s motto in life is to “find something that you love to do and then you won’t have to work a day in your life.” Lisa even hosts events now where she signs her wine bottles.
