Many of the stars of Teen Mom have been open about their mommy transformations and how they have used cosmetic and surgical procedures to improve their looks.

Growing up on reality TV, MTV audiences have watched these young mothers grow up from pregnant teens to mothers and wives. As the reality stars transitioned into womanhood, they made some tweaks to help give them their confidence back after having children.

Some of the transformations have been documented for the show, while others played out on social media. Here are just some of the procedures the stars of Teen Mom undergo.

Farrah Abraham Is Open About Her Extensive Transformation

Farrah Abraham is perhaps the most notable MTV star who has gone under the knife. As reported by The Sun, Farrah has allegedly spent more than $85,000 on plastic surgery.

Farrah Is Reported To Have Had The Following:

• Butt injections in 2018 and 2021,
• Three breast enhancements,
• A 2012 rhinoplasty
• A chin implant
• Lip filler and Botox

On an April 2024 appearance on Bunnie XO‘s Dumb Blonde podcast, she claimed that she had less work done to her face than many suspected. According to Collider, “I’m really happy I don’t do much [cosmetic surgery] work. I take things out of my face. I’m really on a journey of really getting back to myself,” she explained before adding that using filters has made her face look so different, not cosmetic enhancements.

Farrah admitted that her 2012 chin implant was her biggest surgery regret. In her book Dream Twenties: Self-Guided Self-Help Memoir, she described it as “one of the lowest points.”

“All I remember was my friends staring at my chin when I talked or my mom calling me a witch, look it’s unbearable,” she wrote.

Farrah even appeared on the reality TV show Botched after the star’s lip procedure went wrong. She told PEOPLE how her lip implant procedure ended up with her having a reaction. The 2015 incident didn’t stop her from wanting more procedures. “I really love fillers for me, and for my body type they do wonders, but there is no huge surgery that I need,” she explained. “Just keeping up with preventatives for me and preventing wrinkles and aging because I really love being the 24 that I am right now.”

According to Life & Style and InTouch, here’s a timeline of Farrah’s enhancements:

• In 2012, she had rhinoplasty and a chin implant. She later admitted to regretting the chin implant.
• In 2013, she had a breast augmentation.
• The Teen Mom star appeared on an episode of Botched in 2015 after attempting to get permanent lip fillers.
• Farrah was criticized after she shared a video of getting butt injections recorded by her then-9-year-old daughter in April 2018.
• In 2018, she underwent a live labiaplasty, as seen on Instagram.
• She posted herself getting butt injections again in July 2021 and in April 2022.

Kailyn Lowry Underwent Major Surgery

Mom-of-seven, Kailyn Lowry, revealed she had a breast reduction surgery as well as a tummy tuck and liposuction 360. In a January 2025 video, the Teen Mom star broke down in tears and admitted her regret at undergoing the major surgery.

In a video reported by The Sun, Kailyn broke down in tears, describing how she missed out on Christmas to recover from the process. “I was basically willing to go to any length and do this over Christmas break to be skinny, even if that meant that Elijah couldn’t be there for me, even if that meant that I was, you know, in another state for Christmas. I was willing to go to any freaking length for it.”

She also noted that she hoped her kids “never struggle with their body images,” enough to follow in her footsteps and don’t “experience this level of his body dysmorphia.”

Jade Cline Documented Her Traumatic Surgery

In May 2021, Jade Cline opened up about her breast surgery, explaining that it was “No implants, just some fat transferred.”

“Didn’t really get them bigger just more filled out. I’m still the same cup size, just fuller,” she explained, as reported by The Sun.

The Teen Mom 2 star also had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) procedure, which she admitted was harder to recover from than she expected. “It was 10 times worse than childbirth. Everyone is different, but I know that my body definitely had a hard time recovering.”

During a 2021 episode of her podcast Jay & Kay Unfiltered, Jade said she was inspired to make the changes to her rear after “I saw so many people I knew that were having BBLs, and I was so impressed and astonished at the shapes of their bodies.”

Briana DeJesus’ Well-Documented Changes

Briana DeJesus has been open about her multiple surgeries. In 2016, she had breast implants, a Brazilian butt lift, liposuction, and a labiaplasty. Two years later, after having her second baby, she documented her breast lift, tummy tuck, contouring, and bottom reshaping procedures on Teen Mom in 2018.

In February 2020, Briana underwent a breast reduction and proudly shared the results in a now-deleted Instagram. “My belly button is healing. I really love it. It’s so much better than before,” she wrote.

“These are my new boobs,” she added, as The Sun reported. “They are extremely small, but they fit me. I love them. I’m never going big ever again.”

Briana defended her choice to go under the knife, writing on X, “The plastic surgery I got done shouldn’t matter cause I still take care of my kids. My kids never go without.”

These ‘Teen Mom’ Stars Had Slightly More Subtle Changes

Not all Teen Mom stars have undergone major surgery. Some have had some minor tweaks to help boost their confidence but have not involved going under the knife.

Jenelle Evans’ Breast Augmentation

Jenelle Evans has admitted to having some minor procedures to enhance her appearance. In 2012, she posted on Twitter about undergoing breast augmentation. She clarified on Instagram, reported by In Touch, that she “was a small B [cup] and got 450 cc saline, and now [she’s a] D [cup].”

Jenelle admitted to having lip fillers twice and cheek fillers. Unlike other Teen Mom stars, Jenelle doesn’t want to undergo any major operations. Despite being insecure about her chin, the reduction procedures was just too much. “I just thought it was really pointy, and ever since getting older, my face is growing.”

Maci Bookout’s Botox

After fans accused Maci Bookot of getting plastic surgery in October 2020, she set the record straight in her Instagram comment section and said the look was exclusively achieved through Botox.

“It’s a Snapchat filter lol, but I do like my Botox,” she responded after some asked what cosmetic procedures she had done to her face.

Amber Portwood’s ‘Mommy Makeover’

ScreenRant reported that in 2016, Amber Portwood underwent a “mommy makeover” to reclaim her pre-pregnancy body after losing 35 pounds in jail. Amber later confirmed that she underwent a breast lift and body contouring, according to InTouch Weekly.

“I have my pre-op consultation for my mommy makeover,” she explained during a November 2016 episode of Teen Mom. “I don’t want to get into detail on everything, but [I want to] just simply shape my body back to where it was and feel better about myself.”
