I'm A Celeb star admits she paid £120 to 'cheat' in Bushtucker Trials

In the latest episode of ITV’s hit series, I’m A Celebrity, Irish podcaster Vogue Williams became the third celebrity to bid farewell to the Australian jungle. Upon her departure, the 40-year-old shared that she had spent £120 on a specialized preparation course prior to her arrival, aiming to brace herself for the infamous Bushtucker Trials. As a mother of three, she sought professional assistance to overcome her phobias and maintain composure when faced with the jungle’s creepy crawlies.

The decision followed a nerve-wracking experience during a vacation with her husband, Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, where Vogue was terrified at the sight of a bug skittering across the floor. Despite her efforts, she remained skeptical about the effectiveness of the hypnotherapy she underwent. Viewers were gripped by the spectacle of her screaming in terror when a swarm of cockroaches was unleashed upon her during a challenge earlier in the season.

Reflecting on her jungle ordeal, Vogue commented, “I think the hypnotherapy prepared me for encountering the occasional cockroach on the ground. But having thousands dumped on me? It didn’t quite work for that scenario.”

Recounting a previous incident, she added, “I had a meltdown in Spain over the summer when I found a cockroach in my mum’s bathroom. We were staying in her room, and I told Spen, ‘I’m not sleeping in there’.”

“We were staying in her room and I was like, ‘Spen, I’m not sleeping in that room’.

“So I didn’t sleep in the room for three nights because there had been a cockroach in the bathroom, and I was like, ‘This isn’t right – I’m going to need to try and do something here to not be so frightened of them’.

Speaking to The Sun, Vogue added: “I don’t know how much it worked. I mean, I was screaming my head off when I was in with all those crickets and cockroaches.

“They never stop biting you, and the smell is so intense, and you’re just sitting in a pool of them, and you’re just wiping the odd one off.”

Vogue became the third one to be evicted from the celebrity jungle, following Alex Scott and Eddi Kadi.

While talking to hosts Ant and Dec, the star admitted the hunger was far worse than she expected, saying the whole camp was “absolutely starving” and shared that she is rooting for Ruby Wax to take the crown, saying she’s “got it in the bag.”
