Shona McGarty’s family has given their enthusiastic approval to Aitch amid swirling rumors of a possible romance in the Jungle setting.
Camila, Shona’s sister, shared her thoughts on the rapper upon her arrival at Brisbane Airport earlier today (Tuesday).
She commented, “He’s a really nice guy… I wouldn’t mind having him over for Christmas.”
Last week, Aitch revealed his feelings for Shona to Angry Ginge, confessing, “I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona.”
This revelation has sparked excitement from Ant and Dec, who are eager to see a jungle romance unfold on the show this year.
But Camilla said that she needed to see more evidence that romance is actually blossoming.
She added: “I don’t know if I see it romantically…it might just be a brother and sister relationship but I don’t know…I don’t think we have seen enough to make a definite decision on it.”
Shona broke up with her musician fiancé, David Bracken, earlier this year. Insiders say the split is amicable, and he recently wished her all the best for the jungle on social media.
Aitch is also single after splitting with Lois Cottam before going into the Jungle.
Dec previously said he was shell-shocked by Aitch’s comments when watching the scenes shortly before they aired, on Friday night.
He said: “This came completely out of the blue this morning.”
Ant added: “It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper romance on this show. We’d love to see it….we would celebrate it.”
Camilla also opened up how proud she was of Shona for bravely discussing her anxiety battle.
Before going into the jungle, Shona has said: “My mental health, my anxiety and my depression has been pretty bad over the last at least four or five years, and that has stopped me from doing a lot of things I have always wanted to do.”
And Camilla added: “It’s been strange watching her, including some parts where she has been a bit upset and not being able to be there for her. But she is doing absolutely fine.”
She also said she was delighted that the world got to see how much of a good singer her sister was. Shona has already wowed the camp with a rendition of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary
Camilla added: “She is always singing…kitchen karaoke sessions until 3am. We are a very sing song family.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
