In the current season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rachel Zoe has candidly shared details about her split from Rodger Berman, with whom she shares two sons. The decision to include her children in the discussions about the emotional divorce sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some criticizing the choice and others applauding her openness.
Influencer Meredith Lynch revealed in a recent Instagram video, “A couple of years ago, I was almost sued by Rachel Zoe. The reason? I referred to her as Bernie Madoff in a caftan, and she wasn’t too thrilled about it.”
Lynch further explained, “The real issue was that I was exposing claims that her subscription box company allegedly failed to pay its vendors. This is a narrative she wouldn’t want aired on Bravo because it’s quite damaging. I have plenty of evidence to support this. Initially, I wasn’t as adept at navigating social media, so when her legal team pursued me, it escalated into a significant situation.”
“But really, at the end of the day, it was because I was exposing the fact that her subscription box company allegedly was not paying their vendors,” Meredith went on. “This is the storyline that she hopes never surfaces on Bravo, because it’s really bad. And I have a ton of receipts. But anyway, I wasn’t as well versed in social media at the time. And so when she sent her lawyers after me, it turned into a whole thing.”
She called Rachel “a little scary.”
“I do think one of the reasons she went so hard on the Rodger divorce storyline this year is so no one would bring up this storyline,” she added, “because it will come out eventually and it’s bad — [not] so much that she tried to sue me, but the things that her company was doing.”
Meredith said the whole story was “entertaining.”
On BravoTV.com, a cast bio addressed how Rachel would showcase her “new freedom” in the season.
“No stranger to the glitz of Beverly Hills, Rachel Zoe is introduced to the group through her longtime friend and neighbor Kathy Hilton,” said the bio. “Rachel is embracing her new freedom while navigating a divorce from her husband, who also happens to be her longtime business partner. Single for the first time in her adult life, she’s ready for a hot girl summer alongside her friends. Determined to have a good time, Rachel refuses to let anything, or anyone, stand in her way.”
