In the wake of Jill Zarin’s recent dismissal from the anticipated E! series The Golden Life, fans of the reality TV personality are rallying for her return.

One supporter expressed to In Touch, “She’s entitled to her opinion,” while another fan commented, “I was really looking forward to the new show on E!, but if Jill’s not on the show, I won’t bother. She gave her opinion, and there wasn’t anything wrong with it.”

However, E! saw things differently and decided to cut ties with Zarin. An industry insider revealed to In Touch, “Leave it to Jill to bring the drama before the show even started filming. She’s reality TV gold. E! made a kneejerk reaction and could still reverse it.”

Zarin was originally slated to appear on The Golden Life alongside other former Real Housewives of New York City stars, including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan. However, her participation was revoked following controversial remarks she made on Instagram about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Zarin criticized the halftime show, claiming it “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing.” The post was captured and shared on X by content creator Gibson Johns.

“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the show’s producers said in a statement to Variety on Tuesday, February 10.

“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Zarin, 62, previously told In Touch exclusively. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”

“Reality shows are meant to show flaws and all,” adds the insider. “Jill knows she has many but was willing to share it on TV. Unfortunately, E! wasn’t willing to back her and let all this drama play out on the show.”

“It’s a big loss for reality TV fans.”
