Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is underway, and one of the most significant talking points has been the feud between Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton. Fans have also noticed that there seems to be some sort of tension between their mothers, who were also friends at one point. Now, a new report claims their fallout came as a result of issues related to their respective daycare businesses.

A scene from earlier in the season showed Porsha talking to her mother, Diane Williams, about Shamea. In it, her mother warned Porsha to be wary of Shamea, saying that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. This line didn’t mean as much when it aired, but Porsha also recently accused Shamea’s mother, Sarah Morton, of having done something “egregious” to her mother. 

Recently, a blogger named Aaron, whose YouTube channel is called House of Aaron, reported what he learned about the alleged issues between Diane and Sarah. According to Aaron, “Back in 2001, Mama Diane owned two or three daycare centers. Mama Morton also owned a few daycare centers.”

He then went on to say that the daycare industry suffered after the tragic events of 9/11, as many parents didn’t trust sending their kids to daycare due to the attacks. He continued, “I have not researched how the daycare business was affected by 9/11. However, what we do know is that Diane’s business was affected shortly after.”

Apparently, one of the centers that Diane owned closed, and the space then went into foreclosure, which is something she vented to Sarah about. However, their issues came in when Shamea’s mother allegedly bought the business and reopened it as one of her daycare centers. 

Aaron claimed, “When Mama Diane found out that it was Sarah who bought up the building and started operating her business, her daycare out of it, she was livid. She immediately cut Sarah off.”

The report then claimed that there had always been friction in their relationship because Shamea’s mother allegedly copied Diane’s business decisions to one-up her. 

Of course, this is merely an alleged and yet to be confirmed report. Until the two ladies confirm it, there is no way to know what actually happened. However, Porsha and Shamea have alluded to their mother’s falling out, so hopefully, Andy Cohen will ask at the reunion.
