Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson has not held a full-time orange since Season 13, but longtime viewers had plenty to celebrate when BravoCon 2025 confirmed her comeback for the show’s milestone 20th season.
The announcement came with even more news for Vicki fans: she was also revealed as one of the marquee cast members of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
However, as both series have started airing, Vicki’s return to the Bravo spotlight has not been without backlash, with many fans criticizing her behavior on-screen.
During her stint on RHUGT, Vicki, 64, has taken heat for acting disinterested in participating in the action, insisting she’s busy working. She also was slammed for her behavior toward Teresa Giudice and Kyle Richards.
Specifically, Vicki said Teresa’s appearance had changed the most since season one of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. When Teresa, 54, was opening up about her past legal troubles, Vicki interjected to say, “I pay my taxes on time, all the time, no penalties, no interest, no nothing!”
In another scene, Kyle, 57, opened up to Vicki about her 30th wedding anniversary to Mauricio Umansky upsetting her, as they are currently separated.
Vicki took the opportunity to chastise Kyle for splitting up with him.

On RHOC, she has taken heat after attacking newcomer Carmella Garcia‘s parenting, specifically questioning why Carmella lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with a second home in Orange County while her children are in San Diego.
When Carmella mentioned her 14-year-old daughter was home and sick with the flu, Vicki also judged her, stating, “At 14 years old, one year older than my grandson, there’s no way my daughter would leave that child.”
As aforementioned, fans have been vocal about their disdain for Vicki’s behavior on social media.
In the wake of that, an insider exclusively spoke to Reality Blurb to allege that Vicki’s behavior – at least on RHOC – was actually worse than what was shown on camera.
“She was absolutely worse on RHOC than how she’s looked on RHUGT,” the source stated.
They also claimed Vicki’s behavior while taping RHOC was “much worse” than what was shown to the audience and that editors “softened her.”
The insider also confirmed that Vicki came off “bitter, mean, and disinterested in being there [at filming]” and acted “like it was a bother for her to film.”
Finally, the source admitted that they”don’t get” Vicki’s behavior, especially since she had seemingly wanted to return for so many years and, now that she’s there, is acting as if she doesn’t really want to be there.
New episodes of RHOC air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, and new episodes of RHUGT air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
