The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne hasn’t had the best couple of years, but she has spoken about how things are improving. This comes as she has been embroiled in Thomas Girardi‘s legal drama and has had to readjust her lifestyle as a result. However, one person she’s always been able to count on is her creative director, Mikey Minden, and many have wondered where they stand lately.

Regarding Erika and Mikey’s professional partnership, the two have been collaborating for approximately a decade. He has worked with her for music videos, performances, and, of course, her “Bet It All On Blond” Las Vegas residency. Sadly, the residency put a damper on their friendship due to its low ticket sales.

“Mikey and I have worked together hand in hand for so many years,” Erika said in a past RHOBH confessional, via Reality Tea. “And I could have never done Bet It All on Blonde without him.”

“And he’s frustrated with me. It puts tension where we’ve never had tension before, but it’s not out of him being spiteful,” she continued. “It’s Mikey wanting the best.”

Despite the past tensions, all seems to be well between Erika and Mikey these days. Erika was recently contracted to perform at Mighty Hoopla in London. And according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Mikey was her creative director for the performance at the event.

Mikey also recently celebrated a birthday and remarked on the occasion with an Instagram post. Notably, it was his 40th birthday. Erika replied, “Happy birthday, my friend. It only gets better! Here’s to the next chapter of your fabulous journey full of love and happiness. I love you, Mikey.” He replied, saying, “LOVE YOU.”

Erika comments on Mikey’s post

She previously spoke about Mikey being disappointed in her during the Bravo special for her residency. She said at the time, “Mikey and I have worked together hand in hand for so many years. And I could have never done Bet It All on Blonde without him.”

Erika then said, “And he’s frustrated with me. It puts tension where we’ve never had tension before, but it’s not out of him being spiteful. It’s Mikey wanting the best.”
