In June 2024, Shanna set the record straight on her relationship with Kourtney. “I think people think I was angry,” she told People, referring to assumptions that she’s not supportive of Kravis match. “But I’m not angry. It wasn’t anger,” she clarified, adding that she could “get maybe frustrated” when addressing the matter in public.

At that time, Shanna was being grilled with questions about her relationship with her kids. “All of a sudden I became [a] deadbeat mom or I wasn’t in my children’s lives,” she said of the false narratives online.

In January 2024, Shanna aired her issues about her kids spending more time with the “disgusting” Kardashians. “My kids and I never had any bumps in the road until my ex-husband [Travis] started dating a Kardashian crew,” she said on the Dumb Blonde podcast.

Shanna believed that the glamorous life of the Kardashians “alienated” her from her children. “They’re buying them Prada, and they’re meeting Kanye [West],” she claimed. “I can’t give them that. I don’t have access to that. My house isn’t a mansion like Travis.”

But Shanna’s history with the Kardashians dates back to when she was still married to Travis. At that time, the musician was linked to Kim Kardashian. In the podcast, Shanna said Travis was “trying to meet up at [Kim’s] sister’s house to f***.”

Shanna was in “a very dark place” when Kourt and Travis were making headlines about their marriage. Her mom died in January 2023, shortly followed by her father’s passing. Back then, “paparazzi were at my front door from the Kardashian media circus with Travis,” Shanna told People. “It was on another level, and I didn’t know how to deal.”

I feel like right now — I think that’s where we are at in our evolution, and maybe in the future, it’ll change.”

She went on to say that she “doesn’t care” about her famous exes these days. But she admitted that they will always be attached to her name. “Honestly, I just don’t care about my exes at the moment. I don’t care about Oscar or Travis,” she told the magazine.

As an “empty nester,” she’s currently rediscovering herself while still hoping “to grow old and make memories with someone.” Reflecting on at her high-profile relationships, Shanna said her “biggest regret” was “[diminishing] my light or my self-esteem.”

“I gave up so much to support other men, their goals and their dreams, and I will never do it again,” she confessed, adding that she “had to go through all that to be where I am right now.”
