Last week, Alexandra Burke discussed being a mum on Loose Women and revealed she had chosen to keep her baby’s name and gender a secret to protect them. The 34-year-old’s decision has been slammed by Ulkrika Jonsson, 55, who said such a move will attract more attention.
She said: “Announcing you’re pregnant and then shutting the door of access to your life for those who have hitherto cared about your journey, supported you or are just plain nosey, isn’t on.
“For me, it attracts far more attention than leaving the door ajar and letting people know you’ve had a girl or a boy.
“Maybe that was the point, says the cynic in me.”
Ulrika shared her thoughts in her column with The Sun, titled: “Alexandra Burke not revealing baby gender is just attention seeking… don’t play fame game if you want to protect kids.”

“We already love you more than words can say.”
Last week on Loose Women, the new mum was asked why she decided to be so private about her baby.
Alexandra got emotional as she explained: “Obviously, I come from X Factor and that’s a public show.
“I’m very grateful for the platform that’s made me who I am today.
