Mikayla Matthews’ spouse, Jace Terry, recently criticized Taylor Frankie Paul following her contentious video from 2023. Adding fuel to the fire, a fan exposed Jace’s direct messages, hinting that there is “much more” to the narrative than the public knows, which has come to light for the cast recently.

Just last week, a video emerged depicting a confrontation between Taylor and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen. In the footage, Taylor is seen hurling a chair at Dakota while he urges her to stop. The incident led to her daughter bursting into tears, with Dakota alleging that the chair struck the child. Following this video’s release, ABC decided to cancel Taylor’s participation in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, and her colleagues from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have reportedly halted filming with her.
On March 24, Jace took to Instagram to discuss the leak of his messages and hinted that he would refrain from responding to future DMs. These messages apparently contained Jace’s criticism of Taylor concerning the alleged mistreatment of a child.
In the comment section of his post, which was reshared by @MagentaPomelo9205 on Facebook, 30-year-old Jace responded to a fan inquiring about his relationship history with 25-year-old Mikayla.

“I’m sorry but did you not get a 16 year old pregnant when you were 21 and is that not child ab*se,” wrote a fan. “The context is worse because he also knew her for like a month at that point.”
Jace then responded, “Yeah I had met her like 3 times over the span of a month. Barely knew her, and still didn’t hit her over the head with a metal chair. But still what I did was absolutely wrong.”

Earlier this week, fan account @stephwithdadeets revealed that one of her followers messaged Jace – who responded. The follower shared screenshots of the messages.
“Honestly, I do not think [Dakota] truly cares about [Taylor] whatsoever,” wrote the fan. “He cares about control and being on the show if she breaks away from him he has nothing. We NEVER hear anything negative about her co-parenting or separation with her ex husband when that all played out.”
Jace responded, “I don’t support anyone who physically abuses their children. Idgaf who it is or why, and neither should you.”
The fan replied, “I agree no one ever should support child abuse ever!! The video today is horrendous from 2023, but you all stayed friends with her from then until today so please help me understand. Was there current child abuse? Both of them need deep therapy.”
“There’s loads more we just found out about,” said Jace cryptically. “Never stopped.”
