Jack Osbourne Defends Health Journey Amid Criticism of Weight Loss Transformation

Jack Osbourne has taken a stand against recent criticisms about his physical appearance, addressing claims head-on in a candid social media post.

“I can’t believe I’m having to make this video,” the former star of The Osbournes expressed in a passionate Instagram video shared on Tuesday, May 19. “If I see one more article depicting me as ‘sick’ or ‘grossly underweight,’ or referring to me as ‘health crisis Jack,’ it’s absolutely insane.”

In his response, Jack, who is now 40, clarified that his weight has remained steady since his stint on the reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! filmed in the U.K. from November to December 2025. “I haven’t lost any weight since I left the jungle. The only change is that I shaved my beard and went with a mustache, which might look creepy. That’s literally the only difference,” he explained.

Jack also highlighted his dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle over the past four years, noting that he engages regularly in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as part of his fitness routine.

Meanwhile, his sister, Kelly Osbourne, also faced scrutiny regarding her appearance and has been vocal about the ongoing body-shaming she endures. “There is a special kind of cruelty in targeting someone who is clearly struggling,” Kelly, 41, shared via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 1. “People are kicking me while I’m down, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning it into entertainment.”

He said, “I’ve been slowly but consistently losing weight for the last three and a half years. I shot up to about 220 pounds about three and a half years ago and decided that I wanted to make some changes, so I did.”

“What’s the big f***ing deal? I’m 5 foot 8 and a half and 155 pounds. It is perfectly healthy,” he added.

Jack concluded his video by criticizing the scrutiny he’s received regarding his weight over the years.

“The fact that I even have to say this blows my mind,” he said. “My entire life I was just brutalized by the press about being overweight, and the fact that I get down to a healthy weight, now I’m criticized even more? Get f***ed.”

Many of Jack’s celebrity friends showed their support in the comments section of his post.

“Love you Jack. You tell em!!!” wrote Kelly Rizzo. AEW wrestler Chris Jericho added, “Don’t listen to the haters dude. You look great.”

In March, Jack and wife Aree Gearhart welcomed their second child together. They named their daughter in honor of Jack’s late father, Ozzy Osbourne, who died at age 76 in July 2025.

“Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,” the couple shared via a joint Instagram post.

In December 2025, Jack told The Sun newspaper that he and Aree were able to share the news of her pregnancy with Ozzy before his death last summer.

He said, “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness. It’s been easy for me — I think it’s been a lot harder for my wife!”

Jack and Aree, 35, also share daughter Maple, 3. The reality star has three older children with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly: Pearl, 14, Andy, 10, and Minnie, 8.
