Love on the Spectrum star James B. Jones revealed that he found his perfect match in girlfriend Shelley Wolfe and hinted that wedding bells could be in their future.

“I have finally found who I think is The One. She’s so wonderful, so amazing,” he gushed over Shelley in a new interview released on Friday, April 18.

“I can’t say enough just how great she is, and I’m absolutely certain that this time around its true love, that I found The One,” he told People. “As the old saying goes, third time’s the charm.”

Fans watched James, 37, make things official with Shelley on season 3 of the hit Netflix series and they have only grown stronger as a couple since the show finished filming nearly one year ago.

James admitted that he loves many attributes that Shelley has, noting that not only is she “physically attractive,” but there is also “so much more” to her than what meets the eye.

“She has such a wonderful personality. She and I have so much in common,” he shared about their connection, revealing they both enjoy going to Renaissance fairs and heavy metal concerts. “We complement each other. She and I inspire each other to be better. I believe that we bring out the best in each other.”

Shelley and James initially formed a connection online and later met in person at a video game arcade.

“She reached out to me online because she actually had seen me,” James recalled. “She’d watched the show before, so I’m very glad that she did it. She reached out to me and we’d been communicating.”

The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary with a throwback video from their first date in April 2024, and he told the outlet they made plans for a romantic dinner at a Boston restaurant called Fire + Ice.

James said his dating journey before meeting Shelley was harder than anticipated, revealing there were “too many times to count when I felt discouraged.”

Viewers saw his previous connection with special needs teacher Maggie in season 2 but it was later confirmed the pair decided not to pursue their romance. Fans also got to witness James’ connection with Emma in season 1.

“Sometimes the women would just abruptly stop responding without any explanation,” James shared of his dating journey. “Other times it turned out that there just wasn’t enough there for a good match or et cetera. I definitely was feeling very discouraged, but I didn’t give up. I just had to keep at it.”

“That’s it what took, repetition, effort. I finally found Shelley. I’m so glad that she and I found each other.”

James, who uses his online and reality TV platform to advocate for autism awareness, said that he and Shelley would eventually like to take the next step in their relationship and have discussed the possibility of moving in together or finding their own places.

“Unfortunately, I still live with my parents because of how expensive houses are at this moment. So, I shall need to keep at it,” he told the outlet. “But Shelley also still lives with her parents. So both of us very much wish to find our own places.”
