Janet Caperna and Kristen Doute got into a screaming match on Tuesday night’s episode of The Valley, with Janet demanding Kristen be accountable for the things she’d said about Michelle Saniei and Nia Booko getting in on the action.
Following the episode, the cast reflected on their drama, which reached a peak as Nia, 35, shockingly told Janet, 35, “F*ck you!,” after Janet poked fun at her frequent tears.
“It was so crazy because everything was like, fine, and then I think everybody just had a couple drinks and it was like, ‘shoop,’” Brittany Cartwright, 36, recalled on the June 24 episode of The Valley: After Show as Janet wondered, “What was in the margaritas?”
Although alcohol may have played a role, Janet noted that she “[didn’t] need a couple margaritas to yell the word ‘accountability’ at Kristen.” Meanwhile, Kristen, 42, said that Janet’s argument was invalid.
“She kept yelling at me, ‘Kristen, you said that Michelle was dating [Aaron Nosler] while she was with [Jesse Lally]. And I’m like, ‘No. I’ve actually never said that,’” Kristen explained.
According to Michelle, 36, she felt that Janet was being a “true friend” to her by confronting Kristen about her past claims that she had a boyfriend during her marriage.
“I appreciate Janet because I feel like she knows what Kristen put me through the summer before. It’s like, ‘What have I done to you? And you’re still coming after me?’ And it just felt like this was another thing that she wanted to add to my plate,” she explained. “At the moment, [Janet] was just really being a true friend.”
As viewers of The Valley saw on Tuesday night, Nia was highly impacted by the drama amongst her castmates and erupted in tears.
“Why is Nia crying? It had nothing to do with her at the moment. Am I wrong?” Michelle wondered.
“I think it was just overwhelming for her,” Scheana Shay, 40, replied.
Equally as confused was Janet, who wasn’t exactly sensitive to Nia’s emotions at the sit-down.
“I’m like ‘If somebody’s crying here, it should be Michelle.’ It also felt like Nia needed Kristen as a bodyguard. Nia’s like, tough and tough and then as soon as Kristen walks up and goes away, Nia’s like cowering and crying, and I’m like, ‘What is this?’” Janet explained.
“Maybe called a spade a spade too much, and it kind of turned me on a bit to hear Miss USA say the F-word. I bet not a lot of people get that,” she added. “[But] I deserved every ounce of that f*ck you [from Nia].”
In her own segment, Nia said she had a bit of a breakdown due to the “negative energy” amongst the women.
“It wasn’t just Janet and Kristen. Everybody was so heightened,” she recalled. “Everybody was yelling, and I was actively trying to wean breastfeeding. I’m flooded with hormones and everybody’s yelling and sometimes I get overwhelmed … It’s very rare that [the F-word] comes out.”
Also on the After Show, Jasmine Goode, 38, told Janet to “stop fighting Michelle’s battles.”
“Michelle can do this. Let’s cut that out. I think people are forgetting that this is not Kristen’s fault. Why is everything getting put on her?” she wondered.
The Valley season two airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
