Janette Manrara suffers tough time as she's left stranded and separated from her baby girl

Janette Manrara issued a tearful Instagram update last night after being stranded and separated from baby daughter Lyra, admitting: “It’s tough.”

A string of train cancellations left her waiting in a station ready to board for three hours longer than intended – and she ended up posting an ode to working parents, confessing she understood their struggles.

Tearful Janette maintained her composure as she admitted she was struggling with the transport chaos, while Aljaz was playing the role of stay-at-home dad with Lyra.

Earlier that day, she’d been filming It Takes Two, speaking to Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, about receiving “the earliest ten for a cha-cha-cha in Strictly history”, plus the star of the splits Angela Rippon and her pro partner Kai Widdrington.

She’d boasted that the Friday panel had been “epic” – but there were consequences when it came to reuniting with her family that night, after the scanty train service caused her world to descend into chaos.

“Will I catch the train? The original one was cancelled. Already getting home late. If I miss this one, I’ll get home even later,” she agonised at 7:18pm.

More than an hour after, she returned to Instagram to reveal her dilemma had got worse.

“So the train I was supposed to take got cancelled. Then the second train that was an option is most likely cancelled – and now I’m hoping that the third option is still going forward and that I can get home to Lyra – and Aljaz of course! Fingers crossed, wish me luck – and Ive had the longest day.”

She finally got on a train, three hours later than originally intended, but the frustrated star’s worries slowly started to melt away as she flicked a peace sign and sent an ode to working parents battling the same struggles.

“Won’t be home until much later to see Lyra now, but it happens, and we deal with it,” she sighed.

Then she added: “Just sending a little love to working parents. It’s tough being away, especially when things happen that are out of your control, but we do what we must.

“Your baby will love you for providing for them. Shower them with so much love when you get home, always!

“I know I will when I get home to Lyra,” she vowed.

“I know it’s hard and there is no one way system to parenting, so keep being strong and do what you must. Remember you are amazing and you’re doing a great job – we’ve got this!”

When her train finally arrived into the station, there was more frustration in store as her taxi had been cancelled and she was forced to book and wait for a new one.

However, it was all worth it when the emotional Strictly star finally made it home to her baby.

“Cried when I saw her,” she confided, sharing a short video clip of herself embracing her little girl, before adding triumphantly: “Now having the best kind of mornings.”
