90 Day Fiancé star Jasmine Pineda clarified that there’s nothing “romantic” going on between her and Matthew Branistareanu, describing their relationship as nothing more than a “friends with benefits” dynamic.

“I got pregnant by Matt but all we have was like, I don’t know some friends with benefits,” Jasmine, 38, said in a video clip reshared by 90 Day Fiancé Breaking News on April 18. “After the open marriage didn’t work, Matt and I became friends with benefits and now we are coparenting our daughter and that’s it.”

The TLC personality stood firm in that she and Matt, 37, were not in a romantic connection, as she still “didn’t know” what she wanted after her marriage to estranged husband Gino Palazzolo.

Jasmine previously stated that she and Gino, 56, broke up just two weeks after wrapping 90 Day: The Last Resort in April 2024. In the clip, the Panama native criticized Gino for portraying himself as “suffering like the poor husband” when the cast returned to film the tell-all months later.

“Give me a break, like no, he was like, already dating like 10 different women and he was super happy,” Jasmine said as she revealed “her version” of events to viewers. “It’s just me and my daughter and my dog and Matt, who helps me with the baby, with his daughter, because it’s his responsibility.”

Fans witnessed Gino and Jasmine’s breakup unfold on season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, which premiered on TLC in December 2024. The couple had recommitted to their relationship during the season finale after Gino agreed to an open marriage. At the time, Jasmine and Gino were experiencing intimacy issues and she believed Matt was the remedy to their sexless marriage.

However, Gino and Jasmine confirmed their split during the tell-all special months later, where she also revealed she was expecting a baby with Matt.

In Touch exclusively reported the news of Jasmine’s pregnancy in January. At the time, sources revealed the father was Matt, a man Jasmine met at a local gym, and not her husband of two years. Jasmine confirmed her pregnancy a month later, on February 18 — just one day after introducing Matt to TLC viewers on the spinoff as the man she hoped to welcome into her open marriage with Gino.

Jasmine announced the birth of her and Matt’s daughter, Matilda, on April 8, later revealing her baby girl had actually arrived three weeks earlier on March 21. Since her daughter’s birth, the former educator has made a point to debunk rumors that she was pregnant at the couples’ retreat while filming 90 Day: The Last Resort.

“So when I got pregnant, when I conceived Matty, Gino and I hadn’t been together for almost five months,” Jasmine said in a TikTok Q&A shared by fan account The Realitytv Mess on April 18. “He was in a committed relationship with somebody else, so I don’t know why in the tell-all, he has an attitude, like, you know, I was sleeping with him when I was still committed to him when I got pregnant.”
