Jason Biggs is getting real about his recent weight loss.

“I had some cholesterol issues,” Biggs, 46, told Page Six when attending an event in New York City on Tuesday, April 22. “Probably because of the … ice cream pints I would knock back.”

The American Pie alum noted that it took “a while” to get his health in check. His cholesterol has since gone down “70 points” following a new diet and exercise regimen.

“It’s been a journey,” Biggs added. His transformation took more than one year.

While chatting with the Daily Mail at the same event, Biggs noted that “stress” was also a factor when it came to shedding the weight.

“A part of it was, I directed my first movie,” he said. “Probably the most stressed I’ve ever been in my life, professionally anyway. So that contributed a little bit.”

Biggs starred in and directed the upcoming film Getaway.

“It was just so much adrenaline and rushed and the schedule and stuff,” the actor continued, noting that “healthier food” and bike riding were also major life changes that he made.

“I don’t know if it was this much, but I wanted to lose weight,” Biggs added, bringing up his cholesterol levels again — which he emphasized needed to be lowered.

During his conversation with the Daily Mail, the topic of Ozempic also came up. Biggs, who has been sober since 2017, said he’d be open to using the injectable for something other than weight loss.

“I’ve actually heard — because I’m sober alcoholic — I heard it has benefits for that, which would make sense,” he explained. “It helps cravings because it’s sort of the same part of the brain, I guess.”

Biggs noted that it “makes sense” that the drug, which is generally prescribed for those with diabetes, would help with addiction struggles.

“That’s super super cool,” the actor added. “That’s something I’m very passionate about, so if it can help addicts and alcoholics, then f*** yeah!”

Biggs revealed in a 2018 Instagram post that he had been sober for one year after struggling with alcohol addiction. During an appearance on wife Jenny Mollen’s “All the Fails” podcast last year, the actor offered more details about his past experiences.

“I knew how to get wasted enough to where I took myself out of the life equation, took myself out of the present, didn’t have to connect in a way that made me feel things,” he recalled during the March 2024 episode. “I had it figured out to a T.”
