Kristen Doute shared what led to Jax Taylor’s recent fender bender, in which he allegedly, according to a report from TMZ, left the scene without exchanging information with the other driver, with whom he had an unpleasant exchange. Kristen suggested that Jax had just discovered a text to his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright from someone “he doesn’t like.”

The Valley star also hinted that her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and his best friend Tom Schwartz have “evolved away from each other.” Both castmates were recently fired from Vanderpump Rules along with the rest of last season’s cast.

Jax is now divorcing Brittany, though they’re still co-parenting their three-year-old Cruz. In the past, Brittany claimed their fights triggered the split. Soon after they separated, Brittany allegedly started seeing Jax’s friend Julian Sensley, though the fling ended quickly.

On the Bravo Hot Mic podcast, Kristen addressed the events leading up to Jax’s recent accident.

According to Kristen, Brittany gave Jax the opportunity to go with them to some event for Cruz. But Jax was “taking his time” doing “what he wants” despite her telling him that they had to leave at a certain time.

Kristen believes Jax has “depression issues,” which she called “horrible,” but she added, “You gotta get it together for the sake of your child. You cannot take it out on the mother of your child. He took it out on Brittany.”

“And then … her phone’s attached to the car. And then someone texts her that he doesn’t like,” Kristen continued, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “You know what? You’re divorced. Like you’re going through a divorce. You’re doing what you do. She’s doing what she does. And the way that he speaks to her in the abusive language that he uses, it all happened all over again, and Cruz is in the car.”

She said his “bad mood” led to the “fender bender,” and he “yell[ed] and [was] explicit with this [other] person because he just has these anger issues … Like it never stops.”

Kristen said he needs to “give himself some grace” and stop “hating [himself] so much” so he can heal.

As for her ex Tom Sandoval, Kristen suggested he’s going through a “midlife crisis,” which she hopes he gets through.

Kristen, who’s “very close” to his best friend Schwartz, said the two men have “sort of evolved away from each other” even though there’s still “a lot of love there.”

“But I don’t think that they’re gonna be as close as they used to be,” she said. “It’s a bit of the Tom that I once knew, I will say that. There are pieces of that, but he’s not really the Tom that I knew.”
