The Valley's Jax Taylor Denies Alleged "Takedown" of Danny & Nia as Danny Claims He Threatened Him Before Filming and Brittany is Blamed for Rumor

Jax Taylor claims his behavior toward Danny and Nia Booko on The Valley‘s finale wasn’t “so much of a takedown,” but an act of frustration.

As his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, 36, was accused of starting a rumor, which suggested Danny, 41, and Nia, 35, had claimed they were “protected” on the show as its “favorite couple,” Jax, 46, admitted to having an issue with their behavior as Danny looked back at the threat and warnings he received from and about Jax before filming began.

“It wasn’t so much of a takedown. I was frustrated on how, yes, they were looked at as the power couple,” Jax explained on the July 22 episode of The Valley: After Show.

According to Jax, he felt that Danny and Nia weren’t sharing enough on the show.

“You don’t pick and choose what you talk about. It doesn’t work that way,” he stated.

In his own segment, Danny revealed he’d been told by Jax ahead of production that he “had a target on [his] back” because he and Nia “were being fake.”

Additionally, he continued, “A lot of people had warned me that when he goes down in a spiral, he’s grabbing whoever is higher up there to try to bring them down too, so he made it pretty adamant that he was coming for me and my marriage.”

“Honestly, it was really hurtful because I considered him a friend,” Danny added.

As for where the rumor about Danny and Nia allegedly claiming they were untouchable, Kristen Doute‘s fiancé, Luke Broderick, 33, said, “I think it came from Brittany,” and Nia said she believed it “went from [Janet Caperna] to Brittany to Jax.”

“I’ve tried to figure out what the origin is because, actually, when I first heard that, I was shocked. Like, protected by who? You guys have been trying to ruin our lives. No one is protecting us. I don’t feel protected at all,” Nia stated.

However, Brittany denied her potential role in the transmission of the false information.

“I did not start that rumor,” she insisted. “I can’t even tell you who started the rumor, actually, but it was swirled around and I think that led to all the stuff that also happened in Santa Barbara and my weird night in Hawaii and I don’t even know if it’s true or not.”

Also on The Valley: After Show, Danny said that regardless of where the rumor began, it was “absolute BS.”

“Why would we ever even say that in the first place? If we’re being protected, why am I constantly … Everyone’s bringing up the Halloween incident. And why is everybody constantly attacking me over drinking? Everybody else is getting hammered. It’s just absolutely ridiculous,” he declared.

The Valley‘s season two reunion begins next Tuesday, July 29, at 8/7c on Bravo.
