The drama between The Valley stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright is continuing as they work toward finalizing their divorce. Recently, he revealed the most challenging part of co-parenting with his estranged wife while she sat down for a separate interview. Brittany discussed Jax’s toxic behavior, and she also delved into the topic of dating.

As fans know, Brittany and Jax’s relationship was up and down pretty much throughout its existence. The two share one son, and she filed for divorce from him in August 2024. This came several months after they separated with the intention of working things out. Since then, Jax has also responded to rumors that he doesn’t help Brittany with their son.

Jax recently had an interview with E! News, during which he discussed quite a bit. One of the most prominent conversations revolved around his divorce from Brittany and how co-parenting has been going.

According to Jax, “It’s day by day right now. It’s a wound. Going through a divorce is a wound, so we gotta make it heal. And we’re doing good things right now. We’re trying to work it out and hopefully everything goes good.”

When asked about co-parenting, he admitted, “Schedules right now are tough because we’re both very busy, both got a lot going on. Once we get that figured out, I think it will be great. I live literally five minutes from her, so we try to help each other out as much as we can. I try to help her out as much as I can. I do as much as I can do, as much as she allows me.”

The interview continued, and Jax was asked about where he stands with Brittany today. He responded, “That’s a great question, I would like to know that. It’s day by day right now. We were together for 10 years, married for almost five. So there’s a lot there. Trying to work past this and get to a common ground is my goal.”

Naturally, he also teased the return of The Valley by saying, “It’s the hardest season of my entire life. It was the hardest year of my entire life filming this show. My father’s death was no. 1 for sure, and this took it over.”

Finally, his stay at a treatment facility also came up during the interview. Jax called himself a “work in progress,” and he then said, “I’m just really working on my mental health right now. Unfortunately, it’s going to be one of those things I have to work on the rest of my life.”

The reality TV personality also admitted that he’s not at a place where he’s ready to focus on his love life despite all the rumors out there.

Brittany also recently sat down for an interview. Her conversation was with Life & Style Weekly. When asked about dating, Brittany responded, “I’m very much single. I think it’s fun to date around. I’m not gonna say I haven’t dated around. But, you know, I’m just having fun right now.”

She went on, “I’m not like in a relationship or anything like that. I don’t think I’m ready for that for a while. I still have a lot of things to work on with myself from this marriage that I have been in. So, I want to heal me before I jump into something else immediately.”

Brittany then reflected on her relationship with Jax and said she wants to “figure out why [she] allowed [herself] to deal with so much bullcrap for so many years.”

She previously told the outlet, “[Jax] is a great father. He’s just a terrible husband, so I’d never want to take Cruz away from him or anything like that. I still always, no matter what, want him to be in his life. But we’re trying and trying and trying and trying to get better every single day, but if I needed something, Jax would be there for me, and he would be there for Cruz in a heartbeat.”

In the end, she also discussed other changes she’s been making. Namely, she said she felt that she had a hard time getting her body back to the state she was used to after having their son. According to her, “When I had Cruz, I had such a hard time getting my shape back. I felt like I was just kind of square after that and I didn’t have any curves to me anymore.”

She added, “And AirSculpt was able to change that instantly. So, I’m so happy I did it. I will always recommend 10 out of 10.”

Fans can watch Brittany and Jax on The Valley on Peacock as they await news about season two.
