Jax Taylor‘s bar, Jax’s Studio City, called out Charlize Theron for suggesting it served “watered down” drinks.

After the 49-year-old actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where she admitted to thinking that The Valley cast member’s venue had been stingy with its cocktails, and said she was disappointed by her visit, Jax’s fired back with a statement shared to its Instagram Story.

“I did [visit] for the first time. I was a little mad because I think they watered down their liquor. It could’ve just been me, but like, I was a little disappointed,” Charlize shared on the June 26 episode of WWHL.

Although Charlize wasn’t a fan of the drinks served at Jax’s, she did applaud the venue’s vibe, and she noted that she would be open to giving it a second chance.

“The vibe was awesome. I went with my girlfriends. We had so much fun. But we were there at 6:30 and we left by 7:30. It was like a mom’s early bird special. So I don’t think I gave it like the right — I gotta go and really do it,” she explained.

After Charlize’s claims were made, Jax’s took to its social media account to deem her assessment as “incorrect.”

“Incorrect: We most definitely do not water down our liquor,” it wrote, along with a screenshot from Charlize’s appearance on WWHL.

It then said she was “correct” in saying, “The vibe is awesome!” and in her statement about returning.

“You need to come again and ‘really do it!’” the bar wrote.

Jax Taylor's Bar Reacts to Charlize Theron Suggesting They Water Down Drinks

This isn’t the first time Jax’s Studio City has gotten negative publicity. Just one year ago, it was alleged that the venue had been investigated by the health department after Jax, 45, was accused of changing diapers on its bar.

However, as noted by The U.S. Sun, no such thing was witnessed during an inspection on April 16, 2024, and the case was ultimately closed.

The complaint was not observed,” stated a report. “No one in the facility was changing diapers in the bar at the time of the inspection. Discussed with owner that employees and customers are not allowed to change baby diapers in the bar counter or on tables. It is the owner’s responsibility to enforce this. Owner demonstrated understanding.”

The Valley season two airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
