Renowned former adult film star, Jenna Jameson, is sharing insights into her personal evolution and the lessons she hopes to impart through her experiences.
“After years of being recognized for my physical appearance and notorious lifestyle, I’ve embraced baptism and am now committed to guiding others towards Jesus,” Jameson, now 51, expressed in an Instagram video. The clip shows her facing the camera and mouthing the phrase “switching sides.”
Jameson encouraged her followers by writing, “Dive into the Bible… it’s a decision you won’t regret,” accompanying her Sunday, November 9, post with a cross emoji.
Originally named Jennifer Marie Massoli, Jameson adopted her stage name from a phone directory and the well-known Irish whiskey. Her career in adult entertainment began with exotic dancing and modeling for adult publications such as Penthouse, Hustler, and Cheri.
Jameson shot to fame as a pornographic actress before making the transition to mainstream media with appearances on The Howard Stern Show and The Apprentice. The actress also lent her voice to various video games.
In 2008, Jameson announced her retirement from the adult entertainment industry at the 2008 AVN Awards.
“I will never, ever, ever spread my legs again in this industry,” Jameson declared at the time. “Ever!”
Jameson later returned to the adult entertainment industry in 2013, though she has yet to perform any pornographic scenes for any studios as promised. Instead, she appeared on MyFreeCams, a community of online sex workers, and at an adult entertainment show in New Jersey to sign autographs and greet fans.

In 2015, Jameson converted to Judaism, and in 2019 announced she was leaving X, formerly known as Twitter, citing rampant anti-semitism.
“I want to clarify why I’m leaving,” Jameson wrote at the time. “My sobriety and faith are the most important things to me. I am being attacked for my faith. Being Jewish. I must protect my love for God above everything, my sobriety and strength stem from him and his grace.”
The actress announced she had “found her faith again,” and had apparently converted back to a faction of Christianity, in 2025.
“18 vs 51 I’ve definitely been through a lot, but I’m thankful. I’ve found my faith again and I’m so at peace. My belief in the most high has led me to strength I never knew I had,” Jameson wrote via Instagram in September 2025, sharing side-by-side photos of the author at both 18 and 51 years of age.
The post came months after Jameson and her wife, Jessie Lawless, announced their split after 11 months of marriage.
“She tried to rekindle the relationship multiple times but I was unwilling to entertain her advances,” Lawless said in a statement to People in February 2025. “She moved around several times staying with a friend in Chicago and then with another friend in California and then she was in Las Vegas for a little while, but she was hard to keep up with so getting her served was challenging.” (Jameson shares three children with her exes, Tito Ortiz and Lior Bitton.)
In March, Jameson “hard launched” her new relationship following the split.
“Hard launch…” Jameson wrote via Instagram alongside a selfie with Mil R. Ocampo, who described themselves as an “author & voice actor of upcoming literary fiction novel” and “Happily Taken” in their Instagram bio.
