Jenny Ortega expressed a touching tribute to her “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” co-star, Catherine O’Hara, following the beloved comedic actress’s passing last Friday.

The 23-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday to honor O’Hara, sharing several photos, including a poignant black-and-white image featuring themselves and fellow co-star Winona Ryder.

“Catherine is truly one of the most remarkable individuals I’ve ever had the privilege to work with and know,” Ortega, known for her role in “Scream VI,” conveyed in her post. “The moments we spent together and the lessons she imparted will remain with me always.”

She continued, “A monumental figure and a source of inspiration in countless ways. Truly one of the greats. Thank you for everything, Catherine.”

Ortega appeared in the 2024 sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic, “Beetlejuice.”

O’Hara, Ryder, as well as Michael Keaton, reprised their roles from the original film, and new cast members included Ortega, Justin Theroux and Willem Dafoe.

Several “Beetlejuice” stars shared public tributes to O’Hara, including Keaton.

“We go back before the first ‘Beetlejuice,’” the actor, 74, shared on Instagram alongside a recent photo of the two.

“She’s been my pretend wife, my pretend nemesis and my real life, true friend. This one hurts. Man am I gonna miss her,” he continued.

Keaton also shared that he was “thinking about [Bo] as well,” referring to O’Hara’s husband of 33 years, Bo Welch.

Burton, 67, shared on Instagram, “Catherine, I love you. …. You were a special part of my life and after life.”

Alec Baldwin, who played recently deceased ghost Adam Maitland in the original “Beetlejuice,” called O’Hara “one of the greatest comic talents in the movie business” in a statement to Page Six.

“She had a quality that was all her own and my sympathy goes out to Bo and their family,” the “Rust” actor, 67, added.

O’Hara suffered from a “brief illness” before her untimely death on Friday, Page Six confirmed.

The Los Angeles Fire Department exclusively told us that the 10-time Emmy nominee was rushed to a local hospital in “serious” condition.

O’Hara’s cause of death remains unclear at this time. She was 71 years old.
