Accompanying his post was an image from a BBC weather forecast, revealing a sweltering 29 degrees Celsius in Chipping Norton, the location of his beloved farm.
While Monday’s temperatures are expected to settle around 24 degrees, the coming days promise more extreme heat. Wednesday could see the mercury rise to 31 degrees, with Thursday pushing an intense 34 degrees, as the UK braces for yet another heatwave. Across the country, drought conditions persist, with places like Wisley in Surrey not seeing rain for a staggering 52 consecutive days and Coningsby in Lincolnshire close behind with 43 dry days.
Clarkson expressed his frustration on Instagram, succinctly stating, “Harvest already f***ed. May as well just enjoy it now.”
His followers swiftly offered words of encouragement. One person humorously noted, “If it carries on you’ll need to apply to be a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire just to get your money back!”
